Irina: The Vampire Cosmonaut

Rugby is a sport where anybody can be a star when they hold the ball. The rules are simple: one player has to carry the ball past the goalposts across the field while avoiding the other team, who are allowed to use all their force to knock the enemy down. However, the player can pass to a teammate behind them or kick the ball before they are tackled. Unlike other sports, the game continues even when the person holding the ball is taken down. Kenji Gion is a short but feisty high school freshman at Kanagawa High School. Right after the school's opening ceremony, he meets the tall and timid Sumiaki Iwashimizu, and the two of them get an invitation to observe the rugby club. When Gion watches the match, he realizes that even though big and tall guys have an advantage, there are positions for people of all shapes and sizes. Immediately convinced that he has found a sport he can excel at despite his short stature, he signs up, though Iwashimizu declines. Gion is unable to accept Iwashimizu's excuses and drags him back into the sport. Their training becomes intense as they aim to become the champions of Hanazono, the national high school rugby championships.

8-year-old bespectacled aardvark Arthur Read demonstrates to kids how to deal with such childhood traumas and challenges as homework, teachers, and bullies. He also has to contend with his younger sisters, D.W. and Kate, but loves playing with his friends: tomboy Francine, foodie and best pal Buster, super smart Alan, rich girl Muffy and geography expert Sue Ellen.

In the year 2205, a special sage known as Saniwa has the ability to breathe life into inanimate objects. At the same time, dark forces have initiated a plot to travel back in time and change the course of history-and the only ones capable of stopping them are the Saniwa and their strongest animations: historical Japanese swords, in the form of handsome young men. Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru opens on the life of Yamatonokami Yasusada, Souji Okita's beloved uchigatana, as he begins his first day at the Saniwa's citadel. Soon reuniting with his old friend, Kashuu Kiyomitsu, the two are caught up in the daily antics of their fellow sword warriors. They never miss an opportunity to have fun, whether it be through wild snowball fights or introducing their newest comrades to the citadel. Of course, when the government calls, the swords are always ready to fulfill their mission of protecting history.

ARKS is an organization made up of three races: the dependable humans, the Photon-wielding Newmans, and the powerful man-made constructs called CASTS. The three work together to fight against the Falspawn, a primordial evil created from a mysterious entity called Dark Falz. A team of rookie ARKS members go on a mission to the planet Naverius, which is supposed to have no Falspawn, but a sudden attack leaves only two survivors: two young men named Ash and Afin. The two witness a young woman falling from the sky, who seems to remember nothing but Ash's name, despite the two never having met before, and her own, Matoi. Ash is then contacted by a mysterious entity only he can see named Xion, who starts giving him advice on the future. Ash, Afin, and Matoi thus set out on an adventure that will not only reveal the truth behind Dark Falz, Matoi, and Xion, but shake the very foundations of ARKS itself.

A girl named Kuronuma Sawako. She is nicknamed Sadako (from "The Ring") because many people see her as strange and often mistake her for a ghost. A boy called Kazehaya-kun becomes her friend and, to her, is "100% refreshness". While Sawako Kuronuma is probably the kindest person on the planet, her long straight black hair, creepy smile and equally creepy aura have earned her the nickname Sadako, like the girl from "The Ring". Everybody at school is convinced she can see ghosts and do other occult things like give people curses for staring too long. Due to this, they are all afraid of her. Everyone except for the friendly and popular Shota Kazehaya-kun. Sawako's whole world begins to open when Kazehaya starts speaking to her. With the help of Kazehaya, Sawako makes two best friends, Ayane Yano and Chizuru Yoshida, who help her with everything from dealing with bullies to figuring out Sawako's feelings for Kazehaya.
