Lieutenant Lebellec learns that there have been several complaints against the station for response delays, and that someone was sabotaging the SNSM shuttle. Jules Gomez, the station mechanic, and Paul's childhood friend, is the main suspect.

All the inmates in the programme can be a suspect but also unhappy villagers being forced to live together in the village with prisoners in semi-freedom. The main issue for the brigade is to learn how the murderer was able to access the scaffolding without being seen by the other inmates.
