In May 1932, wealthy Elvira Barney and Michael Scott Stephens host a party. Next morning, Stephens is found dead and Barney will face trial. Robert Hoolhouse was hung for the murder of Margaret Dobson, in 1938, but did he get a fair trial?

Farmer's wife Margaret Dobson sets off to the local village at dusk, she never returns. Margaret is found dead, having been raped and murdered, 21 year old Country lad Robert Hoolhouse is arrested and charged.

In June 1931, model Starr Faithfull was found on a beach in Long Beach, New York. Despite a verdict of drowning she was badly bruised. Sept 1900; Mary Hood's body washed up on Yarmouth beach. Police later learn her to be Mary Jane Bennett.

Episode 6

Good as Gold

After three months of courting, Herbert Bennett and Alice Meadows set a date for their wedding. Bennett however is arrested for the murder of a widow, named Mrs Mary Hood, who's body was found on a beach in Yarmouth.
