DIY Bath Gone Horribly Wrong

Ryan and Susan are good at getting their hands dirty and love to tackle a renovation project here and there. So when they started to redo their kids' bathroom, they thought they could handle it and let's just say they got in over their heads. This DIY project went horribly wrong, which has led this family to not using this bathroom for about 6 months. Watch as host, Jeff Devlin, helps this couple transform their family's hall bathroom into a rustic and timeless, one of a kind space. Jeff installs a claw foot tub that double as a shower with reclaimed painted wood on the wall as the background and as a bonus puts a stained glass in the center as an accent. Green porcelain tile with stone pinwheels is laid on a diagonal on the floor while a cool tin ceiling goes above. Jeff makes a custom storage cabinet as well as a custom vanity. Soap stone counter tops and an antique trough sink with two faucet s to give each of Sue and Ryan's two kids a place to wash at the same time completes the vanity area. A few extras include personalized kids robe hooks, a night light built behind the vanity mirror and a toilet so cool, this hall bath could become their favorite room of the house.
