Expert Stel Pavlou and volcanologist Jess Phoenix start their investigation of possible sites for the lost city state of Atlantis in the Black Sea. The golden Varna treasure testifies archaeologically to a mysterious Ancient civilization there excelling in fine metallurgy even before the Pharaons. The coast line has changed dramatically for geological reasons, leaving drowned ports and more to be discovered on the sea bed and examined in its Black waters. It's a promising line of thought, but requires far more research.
