When someone tries to take out a high ranking general with a bomb, Chris is asked to take his place and find out who is trying to kill him. After assuming the man's identity and being shown the device that was used, Chris believes that the one who did is his mentor. When Chris asks the General about the man he claims he never heard of him. But when they try to find him, reports say he's dead. Chris believes that Intelligence recruited him and faked his death. He tries to find him but the man shows up and points a gun at Chris' back.

When Libby goes out with an ex who is a fashion designer, someone tries to run him over. Both Chris and the guy think it's an accident but Libby asks Chris if they can keep an eye on him. So they go to his office and that's when someone tries to kill him. So Chris assumes his identity and learns that some of his employees don't think highly of him.

Chris is asked by a woman to help her husband who's in prison, who was recently attacked. She tells him that she and her husband were at a party and a guy came on to her. So her husband asked him to back off but he didn't that's when they fought and the other man was killed. It turns out the one who was killed is related to a criminal. She thinks the criminal tried to have him killed in prison. Chris then assumes the man's identity and takes his place in prison.

When an attempt is made on the life of a judge who is a good friend of Chris' father, Chris goes to help him. Chris assumes his identity and learns that a prosecutor might have something to do with it. He also runs into his father, who doesn't know what he does and whom he has been estranged from for years.

A TV reporter is investigating a cult and they don't like it. Later an attempt is made on her life but it doesn't deter her. Her cameraman goes to Chris and is willing to let him assume his identity so he can protect her. Chris upon seeing her is taken with her. As they continue to investigate, they learn there might be a link between the cult and an arms dealer.
