Everything looks like a suicide: a hunting rifle lies next to the body. But then it turns out that the victim was bludgeoned to death, and the head wound was concealed with a toupee. That environmental activists are occupying the Baron's forest at the same time to protect it from deforestation can be no coincidence.

Hubert and Girwidz's breakfast break at Barbara Hansen's ends rather unappealingly: Standard poodle Amarillo is munching relish on a human femur in front of the bakery. After a few detours, they believe they've reached their goal: a grave in the Wolfratshausen cemetery. Strangely, however, the grave in question doesn't contain a man, according to the autopsy report. In addition, the pathologist also confirms that the body didn't die of natural causes 15 years ago. Hubert and Girwidz realize that they're still at the very beginning of solving the crime.

During a patrol, Hubert and Girwidz discover the body of physiotherapist Frank Albrecht. At first glance, he appears to have driven off the road with his bicycle and crashed down a slope. The trail leads the police officers to the farm of "bone breaker" Joschi Breitenbichler, who can detect blockages and tension in his patients simply by touch. Could the "bone breaker" have taken his job title too literally in Albrecht's case?

For months, an unknown man has been terrorizing cyclists at Lake Starnberg. So far, it's only been about property damage, but when Hubert and Girwidz discover the body of an elderly cyclist during an operation at the lake, who died not from a fall but from blows, the situation seems to have reached a new level of escalation. Precinct manager Sabine Kaiser declares the hunt for the "bike hater" a top priority. At first, everything appears to be a natural death. But why did the resident of a retirement home have so much old money on him at the time of his death?
