Zoe says yes to starting working again for Francis but makes a massive discovery in the process

Lucas enters the deep web and hires a hacker to get him phone records.

Raymond Tusk is suspected to have caused this event but Francis deals with the situation as he knows best.

Remy threatens Adam to confess the affair and he does so by leaking another photograph. However, Seth works this through by manipulating a young model that resembles Claire. In the end Adam chooses to be on no one's side.

A former US marine that says he's responsible for the white powder makes an attempt on Claire's life. Jackie continues having fun with Remy. She then goes against Claire and her bill. As a result Claire asks for Francis' help, who uses his team to find out that Jackie is sleeping with the enemy i.e. Remy. Francis is willing to use his last resort to get rid of Tusk once and for all. Ayla Sayyad continues to investigate Tusk. Doug confronts Francis.

Doug goes back to group therapy because of Rachel. Francis gives Doug a third chance. Doug then goes back to work, starts cooperating with Seth and decides to forget Rachel. Remy looks into Jackie's past. Claire uses Megan to get her bill passed. Francis and Doug defend themselves in the White House. Francis is finally meeting with Remy. Claire flirts with Edward. When Francis comes home and finds the two of them drunk, they start having fun together.

President Walker plans to destroy Francis using Linda and Tusk. Claire visits a troubled Megan. The first lady continues to trust Claire. Jackie accepts Francis' offer. Francis writes a moving letter to the president that brings him back in communication and good terms with the president. When the president stops backing up Tusk, Tusk directly involves the president in his illegal affairs. Doug attempts to interrogate Rachel but Rachel gets away in the process. Walker resigns and Francis becomes the 46th president of the United States.
