Honor Guard

Positioned strategically above Washington D.C., Soldiers of the Honor Guard are tasked with protecting the National Capitol Region, and performing Full-Honors military funerals in Arlington National Cemetery for America's fallen veterans. Created by two former Honor Guard Soldiers, Neal Schrodetzki and Ethan Morse, as a follow up to their first documentary effort "The Unknowns", this 4-part documentary series covers the training cycles of the 3rd Infantry's Regimental Orientation Program (ROP), the U.S. Army's Caisson Platoon, the U.S. Army's Drill Team, and Delta Company's Full-Honors Casket Platoon. Filmed in association with the U.S. Army, and narrated by Academy Award® Nominated Actor Sam Elliott, this series highlights the timeless traditions preserved within this prestigious post.

Witness the rigorous 10-week training cycle of the U.S. Army Caisson Platoon, and take a trip through time to discover the ancient origins of the Military Horse and Rider team. Long hours and hard work are only the beginning of what's required to be a part of the Army's only remaining full-time equestrian platoon. Caisson soldiers undergo this elaborate training process to uphold the timeless traditions of the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment. And as they learn how to take care of their horses, they begin to realize the gravity of their mission, and develop a deeper understanding of what it means to serve their country, and honor the fallen.
