With multiple gunshot and stab wounds, the body of Dr. Joseph Sonnier is discovered face down in the garage of his Texas home. And-since nothing other than Sonnier's life is missing-the chaotic scene suggests a bloody crime of passion. At first, detectives suspect a link to the murder of Sonnier's ex-wife years earlier. But as they dissect the doctor's life, the list of possible suspects grows to include the victim's girlfriend, a mysterious stalker, and a long list of jilted ex-lovers.
