Charlie Battles is a veteran cop who upon learning that he's about to be reassigned to desk job is not happy about it. Until he learns that an old girlfriend of his who is about to testify against her husband, a criminal asks that Charlie be assigned to her protection. He learns that he has to work with a young turk from another jurisdiction named Kaz who's a bit of a wild card. Things seem to be going well until some members of the protection detail are getting killed.
