Episode 1

Episode #28.1

On Induction Day, Alex brings in his expensive remote control silver blimp, and immediately falls foul of Mr. Malachay when it bonks him on the head when Chloe grabs the remote control. It's Togger who gets the blame though, when Mr. Malachay finds his little brother's tie on the errant toy. Mrs. Bassenger has a word with Taylor about his low chances of passing GCSE's. Maddie seems to delight in winding Cathy up about Martin, who has Asbergers. Spencer seems too wrapped up in his own vanity to realize that none of the sixth form girls he is out to impress can understand a word he is saying. Who is the mystery bloke watching the football practice? Just the chief scout from the Youth Academy, that's who... Unfortunately Togger's relegated to the sidelines, to video the proceedings, but he is distracted by a silver blimp in the distance, controlled by his brother, and before he realizes it, has videoed that instead. Baz tries to get back together with Maddie, but after the ordeal of the previous year, she just wants to keep things cool. As the day comes to an end, Mr. Malachay is about to get on his bike when he is distracted by a minor fight. As Tigger tries to bring down the silver blimp with the remote control, Ms Lawrence reverses her car into the bike - it is ruined, but at least Alex has his blimp back!

Alex is left alone to play with his remote control car, but he collides it with Alison, who makes overtones of friendship. Episode 3

Episode #28.3

Alex has a poor start, what with his remote-controlled car being stolen by Chloe, and his bag thrown into the tree. Tigger and Ed are determined to get the toy car back, but for purely selfish reasons. Baz insists that Togger cleans up his smelly bike, so they throw it into the pool. When they get to registration, they find that Mr. Malachay had bent the truth about him being their form tutor - they have Miss Adams instead. Sammy brings the first batch of snacks to sell, but doesn't seem keen on stealing them continuously from her dad's warehouse. In IT, Andy correctly guesses that Tanya's password is "Togger" and changes her profile picture to a monkey. Tigger and Ed find Sammy's locker combination code, in order to get Alex's car back, but inside they only see their large stock of sweets, which they remove. Taylor shows off his musical abilities to Mr. Malachay. This leads to the idea of a radio station to make good use of the new resources, but Mr. Malachay vetoes the idea, on the basis that when it was done before, it ended in complete chaos. When he talks to Mrs. Bassinger about the CLC, he sarcastically asks if she expects a radio station - but she thinks that would be an excellent idea. Chloe approaches Mr. Malachay and cunningly reports that Alex is being bullied by Tigger, and his mates, and having his sweets removed. The teacher, convinced by her lies, opens his locker, finds the sweets - and Tigger is big trouble! Mrs. Bassinger comes back to Maddie and Taylor to say she thinks that "Mr Malachay's idea" of the radio station is a good idea. Mr. Malachay gives Alex the Wannabies' sweets to his astonishment, and gets a lecture about healthy eating. Then, Chloe jumps on his back, and takes the sweets back with a promise of more vengeance, and finally Tigger, angry at bearing the brunt of Mr. Malachay's wrath, takes his car off of him. When Togger goes to get changed, he finds Baz has exacted a revenge for his bike, and has thrown his clothes in the pool!

Episode #28.4

The naming of the radio station gets a hitch when Mrs Bassinger refuses to allow text messaging to vote - so it will have to be the old-fashion ballot box idea. Spencer gets the job of printing ballot papers, but adds a suggestion of his own - "The Mentalists". Annie finds it offensive, and complains to Kat. A Healthy Eating campaign gets under way, swapping sweets for fruit. Mr. Fox attempts to get Year 9 interested in Mathematics by measuring body parts, using the incentive of sweets from the fruit swap scheme. Tanya's hair extensions don't go by unnoticed. Alex does better than expected at softball, thanks to some encouraging words from Alison, but continues to get grief from the Wannabies about his weight. The votes are counted... the name of the radio station will be "The Hill"!

Episode #28.5

Tanya speaks of nothing other than her new French boyfriend, "Jean" with whom she corresponds by email. Sammy's dad puts a stop to her stealing his company's sweets for resale, but instead lets her take them for half the takings. Mr. Fox seems to "have lost the plot" - pushing exercise books and toast onto the floor, to demonstrate maths ideas. Spencer breaks the news to Kat and Dawn that Mrs. Bassinger has agreed for them to make a film, as an alternative to the end of term play. Baz's plan to make Maddie jealous by telling her he's seeing another girl goes wrong when she shows no interest in the news. Kat Simpson starts as editor for "The Hill", the new radio station, but Tanya and Emma get left out. It's the football trials, will Togger or Abel get picked? Tanya's hair extensions get caught in her pink zip up jacket. Mooey's bullying of Alex steps up a notch. Still badly affected by Maddie's disinterest, Baz shows bad behaviour in the footy trials, and is kicked out by Mr. Malachay.

Episode 6

Episode #28.6

A flare-up between Kathy and Maddie, during which they bad mouth the staff, is accidentally broadcast on the school radio, just before its official launch. In response, Kat sacks Maddie, but this leaves them short of a DJ - can Karen step into her shoes in time? Spencer tells Mr. Malachay he's going to arrange a vote for the genre of the school production to be filmed, but Mr. Malachay wants additional types of films - with a special emphasis on musicals. Spencer ropes in Kathy, effectively doing all his work for him. Taylor's fan club seems to be growing, to the annoyance of Maddie. Alex, bullied again, and forgotten by Ed, finds himself alone, eating his birthday cake with tears streaming down his face. Alison makes it up to him though, and when Ed finds out, he apologises. Mr. Malachay's maths lesson gets hijacked by a demonstration of the impressive green screen technology. Togger, Abel and Andy want to use it to make an impressive picture to email to their French counterparts - a giant rabbit crouching behind the school ought to do the trick!

Episode #28.7

Tanya comes to school with even longer hair extensions. Annie is in a bad mood, because brother Baz is getting expensive presents. Mr. Malachay uses reverse psychology to influence Taylor, suggesting My Fair Lady would be a bad idea. The idea of a mentor for Alex is proposed, and Mr. Malachay approaches Spencer, who eventually agrees. Chloe and her friends resume selling sweets, but Sammy's dad has given them a 30-day invoice for the stock taken so far. At lunchtime, Mr. Malachay breaks the good and the bad news about the Football Academy - Abel has got through, but Togger hasn't - he takes it badly. The tone of Taylor's broadcast causes a few raised eyebrows and almost causes the station to close. Taylor reads out a rhyming apology. Sammy gets a ticking off from Mr. Malachay, taking the rap for the sweets venture. To the horror of Spencer, the school massively votes in favour of My Fair Lady. Alex goes to see Spencer, but it seems Spencer just wants the title of "Mentor" without any of the responsibility that comes with the job.

Episode #28.8

Tanya arrives with outrageous red shoes - a plan to distract attention away from her voluminous hair extensions. She plans to take some glamorous photos of herself to email to Jean in France. Just what is Taylor doing making eyes at Maddie? Maddie tries to warn Karen about Taylor's behaviour, but can she be trusted? Annie turns up noticeably upset. She explains to her brother that she's had a letter from their estranged mother who has revealed that she is pregnant. The first "My Fair Lady" production meeting takes place, but virtually no-one turns up. Mr. Malachay tries to win over Spencer to "My Fair Lady", suggesting it's done as the basis for a modern remake. Taylor finds three people wanting to give an announcement over the radio, and only has time for one - he opts for Tanya, who takes the opportunity to lock the door, so she's on her own. She gives a full-on rant about her grievances about school rules, and her hair, insulting the teachers' appearances, completely burning her bridges, and escaping before a furious Mrs. Bassinger turns up. Baz is late for swimming, and is banned by Mr. Malachay. Annie starts applying for credit cards in her mother's name. When Mrs. Bassinger finally catches up with Tanya, she tells her that she can no longer take part in the French Exchange...

Episode #28.9

No-one's pleased with Tanya for getting the radio suspended, especially when there are important announcements to be made about the sponsored bike ride, and auditions for the "My Fair Lady" video project. Alex gets bullied and calls for Spencer for help, but it's Alison once again who comes to his rescue against Mooey. Togger seems intent on turning the bike event into a race. He finds himself increasingly distanced from Abel since Abel got into the Football Academy. Annie tries to get sympathy from Tanya, but she is in her own world - the world of "Jean". Not realizing he is being recorded by Spencer, Mr. Malachay gives an impromptu performance of "Wouldn't it Be Luverly". Togger and Tanya are the first (reluctant) pairing for the audition. Alex gets out of swimming, by saying he forgot his costume, and finds Alison has done the same. A joke finger in the pool brings the session to an early end. After the audition, Spencer has growing doubts about Mr. Malachay and his professed dislike of My Fair Lady and is beginning to realize he has been set up! Annie starts buying things using her illegally obtained credit card, and not only for herself. Mr. Malachay is disappointed to find the rewritten My Fair Lady has no music in it. Martin suggests that the whole idea should be the other way round, so that it's more the case that the "Lady's Not For Changing". Dawn picks further fault with the script, and before she knows it has received the job of scriptwriter from Kathy. Alex turns up asking for some mentoring, but ends up with no help from Spencer, and instead is given a camera to film some additional scenes around the school. Alex tries to stand up to Mooey, but his ineffectual punch is hopeless. Tanya gets an email from Jean who says he won't come on the French Exchange trip if she won't be on it - but later says he will come over separately from his school and meet her secretly. Alex can't make himself speak out against his bullying to a teacher, so instead he records a video diary, explaining how he feels.

Episode 10

Episode #28.10

It's the last day before half term, and a sponsored bike ride is in the offing - but Annie and Emma can't find their partner in chrome, Tanya. They give a radio broadcast about their recycling aims, but Tanya's absence makes it less effective. Togger, who considers the whole thing a race, immediately turns around the race signs (in time-honoured Grange Hill style!) to confuse the opposition. There's also the matter of the French Exchange kids arriving. As the bike ride starts, it becomes evident that Tanya has other plans: she's all dressed up to meet Jean on an unofficial stop. Chloe shows her sponsorship form to Sammy - just 3 sponsors doesn't seem too impressive. Maddie catches Taylor chatting up yet another girl and tells Karen. Baz has to fetch his father's medicine, and is once again late for swimming, facing Mr. Malachay's wrath. Early in the bike race, Chloe comes off her bike with a bad leg, and Mr. Fox suggests that Sammy does the race on her behalf. Togger and Andy notice Tanya going off the track and assume she knows a short cut, and follow her. Dawn's overdue on the script, and is nagged by Spencer and Kathy to show it - under pressure she reveals that what she's written is rubbish. Back at the race course, Tanya changes into her flash gear and waits for Jean. She comes across Simon, a man who says he's a friend of Jean, and that Tanya's boyfriend is delayed. He says he is going back to the port where Jean is waiting, and will be delayed for several hours. She asks if she can go back to the port with him to see Jean, and he agrees. As Tanya walks back with Simon, she finds he seems to know a lot about her. Back at school, Taylor provokes Baz into a fight - and it's the last straw for Mr. Malachay, who takes Baz off the swimming team. Walking with Simon well off the beaten track, Tanya's getting suspicious and nervous, and sends a text to Jean - she immediately hears the tone sound on Simon's mobile. She runs, but he catches her; in the distance, Togger hears her yells and gives chase, seeing her get dragged into the back of a van. Andy calls the police, and Togger bikes in hot pursuit of the van. Back at school, reading Dawn's script, Spencer gives some "constructive" criticism - Maths not being his strong subject, he says the script should be 57% bathos, 33% pathos, and 29% Athos. (Kathy points out that Athos is one of the Three Muskateers). The van, with Tanya pounding on the doors in the back, reaches a point in the road where the Grange Hill bikers are blocking the path - confused by Togger's sign-changing trick. Mr. Malachay is about to clear the road for the van, but Togger calls out Tanya's name, and Simon panics, pulling Tanya out of the back of the van, and tears off before anyone realizes what is happening. Togger catches hold of the terrified girl, and then her friends Annie and Emma put their arms around her. Back at the script writing, there's a moment when Spencer seems to be about to say something that Kathy wants to hear - but instead he just tells her that he couldn't be without his Assistant Producer. With the race over, and police called to the school, Chloe reveals her game plan - her hidden sponsorship form for money she intends to keep. As Tanya is taken away by the police, Emma and Anna wonder at what might have happened, and Togger and Andy are glad that they changed the signs which brought the van to a stop...

Episode #28.11

The aftermath of Tanya's kidnap takes place. Tanya returns and has an interview with Mrs. Bassinger and is told that the school's Internet access has been suspended. Talking to Maddie about seeing things for yourself, Martin unwittingly plants the idea of making Karen see for herself what Taylor's really like. Karen still refuses to listen to Maddie's observations about Taylor, so Maddie sets up a liaison with him in the drama studio, and gets Martin to tell Karen to go there. Maddie's radio broadcast spilling the beans about the Internet ban, and giving her opinion about Tanya's ordeal incurs the wrath of Mrs. Bassinger. Kathy, who's become Spencer's slave for the My Fair Lady project, is hopeful of a romantic gesture from him when she sees him pick flowers, but to her surprise he gives her a dictionary instead. She later sees the flower being put on Miss Adams's desk - Spencer has labelled it as coming from Mr. Malachay - all part of his private scheme to film Mr. Malachay in embarrassing situations. Intent on putting her side of the story, Tanya gives an unofficial radio broadcast, saying how stupid she feels about Jean not being real. At the drama studio, Maddie flatters Taylor by asking for Dj'ing advice. He tells her that as a DJ he speaks as though talking one-to-one to his listeners. She thanks him with a brief kiss just as Karen enters, exactly as Maddie had intended...

Episode #28.12

An adventure trip is planned, but a hundred pounds is a lot for Annie to get, and there's tension between her and Baz because of the favouritism she thinks their father is giving him. Karen still disbelieves that Maddie's kiss with Taylor was anything other than an attempt by Maddie to win him over, rather than a demonstration of how untrustworthy he is. Taylor's also cross with Maddie because he says he has no interest in her. Everyone seems to be reminding Tanya about her recent kidnapping ordeal. It's time for swimming - Alex's nightmare lesson - and Mr. McDonnell won't accept no for an answer. In the event, Alex gets through it rather painlessly, until he finds his shirt has had inked "jumbo no. 1" on the back. Kathy keeps finding Spencer making new videos of Mr. Malachay, but comes to the wrong conclusion that he's in love with Miss Adams. He explains how he's set up Mr. Malachay in ridiculous situations, but Kathy is not impressed, as she is left doing the real work for the My Fair Lady project. He wins her over, easily, by promising to include her into this underground project. Abel falls asleep in the IT lesson - a result of the extensive football training in the academy. Mr. Malachay gives him a reassuring pep talk. In the IT class all hell breaks loose when Tanya thinks she sees her kidnapper walk past outside the glass doors, but it's just Wally Scott in a similar outfit. Annie and Emma work on Tanya to persuade her to go on the adventure trip. Annie continues to build up more lies about her falsely acquired credit cards, and pretends that her father has agreed to pay for the adventure trip. At the end of the day, Mr. Fox encourages Alex to go on the adventure trip and suggests he has extra swimming lessons with the help of mentor Spencer. He approaches Spencer once again, but it's a lost cause with selfish Spencer concentrating 100% on his own anti-Malachay project, and Alex is left alone with the video camera to record another painful message about his troubles.

Baz tries to get to the root of the whole Karen/Maddie/Taylor scenario. Dawn's not happy about Jeremy in the video project - she considers him too young, and either he goes or she does. Tigger winds up his brother, telling Togger that Mrs. Bassinger will get him to be his chaperone if he (Tigger) gets into any more trouble. Togger finds his brother hanging around him, willing to take the blame for his misdeeds in order to divert the threat. Alison has a go at Ed because he's been ignoring Alex. He approaches Alex, and reassures him that he's still mates, and insists that he goes on the school trip. Just as things seem to be looking up for him, he's given a soaking by Mooey, and told he must bring five pounds in each week. Martin asks the head about reinstating the computers, but she still wants the message about giving out personal information to be hammered home. Reluctantly, Spencer gives Jeremy the bad news about his lost part, and he runs off upset, his hopes shattered. Just as the staff pop by to see a demonstration of the on-going video, Emma finds out that Jeremy has gone - to be replaced by Spencer of all people. She walks off, unwilling to work without Jeremy. Maddie and Martin seem to have become close friends, to the amusement of Baz, but is Martin right about Baz's continued interest in Maddie? Max brings Baz to boiling point by suggesting that he fancies Annie, but he's worried that madness is in their family. Kat steps in to be Emma's replacement, and everyone seems happy with this particular casting. Alison gives some final persuasion to Alex and he decides to go on the adventure trip.

Episode #28.14

Alex is determined to have a good time as the adventure trip gets underway, despite getting grief from Chloe before he's even on the coach. Can the Year Seven girls survive five minutes without their mobile phones? Annie turns up with some expensive new clothes, and Baz is confused when Karen denies that she's the one who lent her the gear. Baz defends Martin when Max Humphries picks on him, and once again gets into trouble with Mr. Malarchay. When the girls unpack, Tanya seems thoughtful - worried about the security. Mr. Fox seems suddenly rather impressive in his mastery of living in the wild. Back at school, Kathy helps Spencer get more absurd footage of Mr. Malachay (demonstrating how to ski!), but Spencer dismisses it as a joke when Kathy asks him out. Baz seems determined to get back together with Maddie, but Martin's brutal truth doesn't go down too well. On the trip, the kids have to hand in their stash of snacks, and their phones. The Wannabies have a secret stash of sweets - and Chloe hatches the plan of preventing the others from finding food, so they can sell their stock for a good profit. Alex uses the camcorder to film the girls as they deliberately foil genuine attempts of finding food - they destroy eggs, disturb fishing and ruin fruit. The Wannabies are cornered by an angry mob and have to hand over the sweets. When everyone turns up their noses at nettle soup, Mr. Fox smells a rat, and the sweets are confiscated. Alex's camera shows the evidence of Chloe's crimes. The Wannabies are put to trial - their punishment to prepare the following day's meal, which includes gutting the fish Mr. Fox has caught. Alone in the woods, Alex tells his camera how happy he is for once, but a watching Chloe tells her friends that he's going to pay for what he did. Back at school, Max and Baz's dispute turns into a test of nerve - climbing down the school wall - the real one, not the specially built one. The two get going, climbing down the rope with no safety gear. Halfway down, Max loses his grip on the rope, and falls to the ground...

On the adventure trip, Andy and Togger are up early to play a trick on the girls, looping a cardboard figure so it can be pulled across their dormitory, but Tanya's already in a nervous state, and doesn't quite see the joke when she awakes to find a hideous face staring at her. There's another mystery though - who used the showers in the middle of the night - an intruder? Mr. Fox continues to impress with his astonishing outdoors expertise. News comes from the school about Baz's incident, but Annie has bigger worries facing her with credit card bills becoming due. When mobile signals are restored, various phone calls are made, including one by Alison who's the one who had the secret shower in the middle of the night. The task for the day is to navigate a maze of corn. Alison joins up with Chloe and her gang, who are determined to get Alex back. Tanya finds herself on her own in the maze, and becomes distraught. Meanwhile Ed finds himself on his own too and is jumped on by the Wannabies who grab his trousers. Chloe and Andrea suss out that it was Alison showering, and start to wonder what's wrong with her. Meanwhile, Tanya goes into a total state of panic, running through the maze, but Togger finds her, and she puts her arms around him in relief. Safely back at camp, Tanya and Togger come to a friendly agreement that they'll not speak about the incident, and that they'd better stay apart because they seem to always be at loggerheads - but who are they kidding!? The Wannabies confront Alison about what she's hiding, and Alex tries to defend her. In the struggle, Alex falls back, and Alison's jumper is lifted - her skin is covered in terrible eczema scars. Chloe's gang recoil in horror, and Alex says the wrong thing, that he's not a freak - instantly ruining his relationship with Alison, and losing the respect of his friends. He tries to make up with her, but it seems to be a lost cause, and Alex is alone again.

Alex makes one last try to get to speak to Spencer, but his so-called mentor is next to useless - Alex leaves him his personal video diary. Alex seems to have his own agenda as people head out to watch the soccer match. Alone, he goes back to the classroom and fills his bag with heavy books. Mr Malachay finds Spencer editing the video, and reminds him to go to watch the football match with the others. Spencer can't resist looking at Alex's disc to see if it has some filler material, and starts to listen unsympathetically to the boy pouring out his heart. Alex arrives at the swimming pool, his thoughts entirely filled with memories of hateful and abusive voices. The last one he recalls is Malachay's observation that taking control will make him feel better - so Alex takes control, and with the heavy bag secured to his back, he plunges forward into the pool. Back at the editing suite, Spencer suddenly notices that one of Alex's discs is labelled "To Mum and Dad", and at the same time, on the video, Alex mentions being under water. With a realization of Alex's intent, Spencer runs out to the pool, grabbing Baz on route. The pair find Alex lifeless in the pool - Baz dives in, but can't lift Alex on his own. Spencer joins Baz in the pool, and the bag is removed. While Baz struggles to get life back into the still form of Alex, Spencer yells for help. Annie and Tanya, who have been sharing their respective problems in the IT Room, hear the shouting, go to the pool and are told to ring for an ambulance. They do so, and run to the football pitch, to alert Mr. Malachay. As help arrives, there's relief as Baz's efforts are successful, and Alex breaths air on his own. Mr. Malachay apologizes to Baz, and tells Spencer he is a hero - but Spencer can't be placated so easily, realizing that he's failed Alex...

Annie comes to school with a bundle of cash for her credit card bills - and a gold ring to sell. Tanya still hasn't had a reply from Lucy. Spencer seems to have lost all interest in the film - but everyone's looking forward to it, if it ever gets finished. Dawn and Kat look at the footage, and find out what a mess the whole film project is. Kathy asks him round to her house - he agrees without listening to what she's saying. Spencer's mentoring session with Alex seems to be working in reverse, with Alex helping Spencer with his problems. Year 9's SAT results come back - they're generally good, except poor Abel, whose Football Academy time has impacted his work and damaged the friendship with Togger. In their IT lesson, Annie diverts attention while Tanya finds a message waiting from Lucy - she's going to meet Tanya at the school gates at lunchtime. Outside, Annie argues with Tanya, who's lost her nerve at the prospect of meeting Lucy, thinking that it might after all not be a genuine message. As they talk, a girl approaches - it is Lucy, who overhears their argument and speaks to Tanya. While Lucy talks about her ordeal with Tanya, Annie goes off, under the pretence of getting drinks, and sells her gold ring, adding another ten pounds to her growing stash of notes in a used envelope. Distracted by Abel, who agrees to buy her drinks in exchange for a look at her homework, she drops the envelope, and it is picked up by the cleaner, and binned. When she looks for her homework, she realizes she has lost the envelope, and becomes distraught. Togger and Andy's plans to sell Film Premiere tickets goes awry when Mr. Malachay tells them to take down their painted banner, and they are banned from going. Lucy tells Tanya of her experience. Her tale of the on-line friendship with "Ben" - who turned out to be an older man - has a striking similarity to her own story, except in Lucy's case, there was no happy ending, and the rape has gone unreported. Baz mentions that he's just seen Lucy to Karen, who goes to fetch Mrs. Bassinger. As Lucy refuses to agree to Tanya's suggestion of reporting her attack, Mrs. Bassinger appears on the scene, and Lucy thinks her trust has been betrayed. As she walks away, Lucy tells Tanya that she's too scared to leave her house - because she knows where her attacker lives. Annie ransacks the bins trying to find her money, in tears at her enormous loss. A police car pulls up outside the school, and Tanya finally persuades Lucy that she should tell her story so that their attacker can be finally caught.

The Wannabies are "volunteered" into working in the car parking - Chloe's eyes light up, when she sees a way of earning some cash. Jeremy reveals his surprise to Kat and Dawn - his dad has arranged for himself and Emma to arrive by limousine, and he offers seats to Alex and Alison. Martin speaks with Karen and explains, in his matter-of-fact manner, what Maddie was really doing with Taylor. The wannabies make a special car parking sign - charging for entry, but Tigger spots their scam. Alex's exit from the flash limo is rather spoiled when his trousers rip. Spencer just doesn't get it, when it comes to seeing Kathy as girlfriend material - he completely ignores her in the audience. Alison finds Alex hiding under the stairs, ashamed of his trouser rip. She finally persuades him to return, by removing her arm-length wrap, so her cruel eczema scars are uncovered. To Togger and Andy's dismay, Mr. Malachay sets them in charge of refreshments. They amuse themselves by shaking up the cans and over-seasoning the hot dogs with mustard. Tanya is the first victim, although Andy does try to stop her taking a "loaded" can. As the film premiere of "My Lady's so Unfair" gets underway, there's a steady stream of audience disappearing. Tanya gets a phone call and leaves to answer it, in case it is about her attacker. Karen and Maddie leave and finally make peace with each other. When they emerge from their corridor they find Tanya - to her huge relief she's just heard that Simon has been arrested. Spencer decides he isn't going to show his "No Malarky" video - but Kathy has other ideas, and starts it up. Mr. Malachay is about to intervene, but Mrs. Bassinger holds him back. Tigger alerts Ms. Lawrence to the car park scam, and she goes to confiscate their money. The Wannabies trek back indoors, humiliated, watched by Alex, Alison, Ed and Tigger. As the post-premiere party gets underway, Annie is distracted by the sight of the entrance fee money. Togger offers Tanya some kind words about her attacker being apprehended, but she's got revenge on her mind, and squirts him with mustard. As she runs off onto the stage, Mr. Malachay is revealed snogging Miss Adams! Taylor has a final surprise up his sleeve - his "143" song is played, and he gets a dance with Karen. Kathy is left alone, and almost leaves, but Kat's had a word with Spencer, and he finally gets the picture. Spencer kisses Kathy, and a watchful Martin asks Maddie if they are boyfriend/girlfriend again. She thanks him for his efforts with Karen, and despite his Asberger's Syndrome, persuades him to dance. As Taylor dances with Karen, he reveals what 1 4 3 means - the first is the one letter word, "I", the third is a three letter word - "YOU"...

Episode #28.20

Will Togger's "magic undies" help him win the end-of-term match? Spencer arrives and immediately avoids Kathy - it's his last day at Grange Hill, and he doesn't see the point of starting a relationship. He's also desperately avoiding the clutches of Mr. Malachay after the screening of his video ridiculing the teacher. Alex is understandably a little apprehensive at the forthcoming swimming lesson, but it's Tigger who has the embarrassing moment when his swimming trunks part company with him. A special merit award is given to Abel - which puts Togger's nose out of joint. Abel keeps trying to tell Togger something, but he's not in the mood to listen. As Togger sets up the football pitch, Abel finally tells Togger that he has quit the Academy. Mr. Malachay is not a happy bunny when Abel tells him the bad news, and doesn't let him play for the school. Annie's credit-card nightmare is catching up with her big-time, with credit card companies phoning the house and asking to speak to her mum. Annie goes around the school on a major scrounge, asking for money and eyeing all expensive items as potential sources of ready cash. She overhears how the laptops in the computer lab are worth hundreds of pounds, and stashes one in her bag. As she runs off, Taylor comes out of a room nearby, and a teacher sees him and comes to the wrong conclusion. Mr. Malachay finally catches Spencer, but he's gotten over any ill feelings about the "No Malarky" joke film, and wishes him luck with his future at Film School. Baz works hard to gain Maddie's friendship back, but then she mentions that Annie borrowed money from her, and he runs off to find his sister. When he finds her, he notices the heavy computer equipment in her bag. At the footie match, Grange Hill start out one man down and things don't look good. Togger pretends to hurt his leg, forcing Mr. Malachay to put Abel back on the team. There's a big smile on Kathy's face when Spencer finally asks her out. Taylor confides in Karen that he doesn't expect he'll come back to Grange Hill, but then Mrs. Bassinger calls him back inside: he's under suspicion for taking the computer gear. Meanwhile, Baz has persuaded Annie to tell the truth about her money situation, and she explains about the falsely obtained credit cards. He tells her he'll help with the money - but first she has to put the school's laptop back. Abel's football expertise helps Grange Hill win their match. Outside, as Alex asks Ed to help him get fit, and Maddie gives up waiting for Baz, and walks off with Martin, there's a surprise as a police car turns up. As Annie tries to get the cabinet open Taylor backs out of the room ahead, vociferously denying having taken anything, followed by Mrs. Bassinger - Annie is caught red-handed. Baz tries to take the rap for the theft, but Annie steps forward to accept the blame. Baz pleads for the incident to be overlooked, but it's a bit late for that, as the police appear on the scene...
