I've Never Met a Disease I Didn't Catch

To prove his reckless exuberance, mainly to himself, George (Ken Finkleman) drops ecstasy with Tory (Jud Tylor) at a dance club. As he frets about the possibility that Virginia (Lolita Davidovich) might catch him with his young consort, he runs into her niece (Emma Fleury), whom he pretends not to recognize. Noting how wasted he is, she dances away, much to George's relief. The following morning, George goes to the office reeking of Tory's special soap. Doug (Jason Weinberg) notices. Ditto Alan (Steven McCarthy). And everyone in the production meeting. Fortunately, George's distracting smell is overtaken by Danny (John Ralston) bursting in with staff loyalty oaths and random drug tests. George and Christine (Stephanie Anne Mills) are dispatched first with their urine sample containers. Given the recent drugs pulsing through his system, George solicits his coworkers to pee on his behalf. Doug figures he's got too much pot in his system. Alan refuses. Graham (John White) is dry and Elliot (Brendon Gall) can't be bought. So George finally resorts to paying off a delivery boy who swears he is drug-free. Later, as he has lunch with Virginia, she notices his scent. And particularly that it isn't his scent, but Tory's. Marveling at her keen olfactory sleuthing, George also discovers her clubbing niece ratted him out. Still, he's surprised when she storms off. With soap and urine samples on the brain, George's staff becomes germ-obsessed and -phobic that they're susceptible to flesh eating disease. Meanwhile, Charlie (Doug Murray) delivers an inflammatory on-air editorial quashing rumours he fathered a child out of wedlock. George isn't comfortable with it. But Christine applauds it. When George tells Danny about his misgivings over Christine's editorial judgment, he discovers she's sleeping with their overlord Mike Hailwood. And Danny has even worse news for George, he's failed his drug test.
