Episode 1
Ernie catches a helicopter to Cradle Mountain in Tasmania on the way to Dove Lake. A May bushwalk through fields of button grass, wombats and snow. At Trowunna wildlife park Ernie feeds Tasmanian Devils and gets hands-on with Quolls. Back at Dove Lake Ernie learns about Tasmanian Aboriginal culture.
Episode 2
Ernie drives to Ikara in South Australia's Flinders Ranges. In Wilpena Pound there are fantastic landscapes, dense forest and historic sites. Flying above the area we get close up to the Ikara ranges and lake Kati Thanda. At Yuru Mulka the rock engravings are explained. To finish off there's a BBQ'd wallaby and a wattle seed damper.
Episode 3
In Far North Queensland, Ernie meets with locals that have settled in the widespread rainforests and finds there is pressure between them and farmers on the fringes of these important wildlife areas. Up in the treetops Ernie sees where the reef meets the rainforest. Down on the Daintree River Ernie discovers the plants, birds and animals of the mangroves. At Mission Beach the cassowaries have an idyllic life, but development looms.
Episode 4
Ernie travels the Great Ocean Road in Victoria and stops at Port Campbell to appreciate the wild vista of the Twelve Apostles by helicopter. On day 2 he visits the Place of Wonder, a diverse habitat garden, and samples beetroot falafel. Day 3 sees Ernie on a boat trip in the wild waters of the "Shipwreck Coast" for a close look at Muttonbird Island and the dramatic weathered rock formations.
Episode 5
Ernie travels to Thursday Island (Waiben) in Torres Strait. After an interview at the local radio station he visits the Gully Community Garden. The Kazu Pearl farm on Friday Island is next and on his last day Ernie spends time with Kaurareg elder Milton Savage for the spiritual story.
Episode 6
Ernie is ferried across to Kangaroo Island to see the unique wildlife and recycled art. Tammar Wallabies are spotted at night and the next day it's off to Stokes Bay to see the now sandless beach. Later, Ernie dons a wet suit to swim with Dolphins, then it's over to Flinders Chase National park to see the Remarkable Rocks.
Episode 7
Ernie travels to Nitmiluk National Park and takes a flight over the majestic gorge. He meets the Jawoyn people to see their art and visits Nitmiluk Gorge to view rock art of the Mimi people. A cruise on the Katherine river ends with a spectacular sunset.

Ernie visits the Blue Mountains in NSW to meet up with an enthusiastic cave guide, a Gundungurra man maintaining his connection to Country and a nature lover who finds solace in this wilderness.

In the season's finale Ernie and his late brother Buck take audiences back to their home town of Mullewa on the Murchison River. It is an entertaining, informative and heartfelt episode.
