This week John Noakes visits David Purley and his 'Chevron B30' Formula 5000 (F5000) racing car. From the initial car construction in the 'Chevron' factory at Bolton, the car is looking like a mere bath tub. After construction, the action starts with David giving his car its shake-down test with John following in a 'Formula Atlantic' racing car at the 'Goodwood Motor Circuit' (West Sussex). The programme concludes at Oulton Park (Cheshire), with David and his 'LEC - Formula 5000 team' qualifying and racing over the Easter weekend in cold snowy conditions.
