Seeing Xiao's birth-mother coming back, Ziqiu was touched and became more determined to find mother and then ask her about the reason why abandoning him. Later on, Xiao's grandma Granny Chen brought Meiyang Qin who is Xiao's sister with a different dad to him and was trying to build a good relationship between them. Xiao refused and Granny Chen was mad about this and decided to leave Meiyang at Li's restaurant.

Chen took Meiyang to Li's restaurant and they spent some time with Xiao there. Ziqiu's birthday is coming, Qi bought a watch for him as the birthday present but the latter gave the watch to Xiao. He Lan who is Ziqiu's aunt showed at his birthday party and was trying to convince him that he's an outsider who needs to behave well to earn the right to stay. Li was unhappy about this. He drank a lot and expressed his feelings of treating Xiao and Ziqiu as his own sons. Later, Meiyang came to look for Xiao. She tried to push Xiao downstairs while looking for Xiao with her but fell down herself. Therefore Xiao has to stay at the hospital to look after his sister under Chen's request.

SPOILER: Chen and Meiyang went back to Singapore. The days finally became normal again. Jianjian won a golden prize in the wood carving competition and the family was happy about it. As the time goes, a year passed. Zhao Huaguang who is Ziqiu's birth-father suddenly came to him and wanted to rebuild the relationship with him. Ziqiu refused and felt frustrated. At the meantime, Jianjian had a new classmate called Tang Can who dreams to be a movie star but was forced by her mother to shoot commercials to make money. She has a very bad grade and often changes her clothe into something grown-up after school. Also, after knowing Xiao and Ziqiu's good grades and Jianjian's talent of art, Jin finally allowed her daughter Qi to make friends with them.
