After getting unceremoniously dumped by her band and several rejections later, Akane decides to give up her dream - until she crashes into a totally unexpected (but very much desired) new band opportunity with Sho, Naoki and Kazushi.
Episode 2
Newly christened TENBLANK, the band experiences growing pains while recording their first single. Akane's frustration grows; struggling to see Naoki's vision of her drumming. Toya breaks bread with Akane as she vows to pursue her passion.
Episode 3
Naoki and Yukino perform a duet orchestrated by Mr. Isagi. Multiple factors and people conspire to sabotage TENBLANK's television debut. At the video screening, Akane is shocked with the realization of her heart's true feelings for Naoki.
Episode 4
During a band retreat, Kazushi and Naoki lock creative horns. Kai and Yukino crash the party as Naoki pulls rank. Akane is unsure if Yukino is a Rival or Bestie. TENBLANK's authentic sound bubbles to the surface as Yukino stakes her claim.
Episode 5
Akane's true rival - the all-encompassing beloved of Naoki's heart - is revealed. Akane reinvents herself. Yukino confronts Mr. Isagi, forcing his hand. Toya plays cat and mouse with TENBLANK, and with Naoki and Akane in particular.
Episode 6
Toya and Naoki play tug-of-war until an unexpected attack tips the balance. With a captive audience, Naoki comes clean. TENBLANK and OVER CHROME face off with each other during a battle of the bands. Yukino plans her next moves.
Episode 7
TENBLANK continues to defy expectations on their first national tour. Akane finds herself on a 'double' date. To escape prying eyes, Kazushi spirits Akane away, leaving Naoki solo. Yukino - calling out Mr. Isagi - rips off his mask.
Episode 8
Yukino confronts Naoki, disrupting band rehearsal. Akane creates a safe space for Yukino to reveal her own feelings and frustrations. The tour gets derailed by mysterious circumstances. Naoki rips off his own mask. Kazushi shoots his shot.
Episode 9
Akane surrenders her heart, completely, to Naoki's vision. Kazushi remains present with Sho. Naoki's collapse culminates in TENBLANK's dissolution. A new version of Kai arrives. Naoki surrenders himself. And the TENBLANK phoenix arises.
Episode 10
After Yukino throws Mr. Isagi under the bus, the Rock Alive Japan music festival implodes. Akane steps up to support her Bestie. Naoki's naked soliloquy on the randomness of living - and dying: truly good music is in one's authentic heart.
