Vengeance puzzled Paulina's life after father was brutally killed, rendering her mother emotionally distraught. Paulina plans a revenge plot against Dra. Claudia Herrera, the main root of her miserable life and the root to her rivalry to Natalia, Claudia's daughter, whose perfectionist mother has never felt she will live up to her expectations and constantly pressures her. One day Natalia meets Karl and falls in love. Paulina starts her revenge by asking Karl to seduce Natalia. After a long courtship, Natalia decides to live with Karl and start a family. When Natalia goes into labor, she and Karl get into a car accident. When Karl suffers amnesia, Claudia gives the newborn baby to her driver/bodyguard Oscar. Paulina uses this to take Karl's love away from Natalia and to blackmail Claudia into supporting Karl's hospital needs, and Claudia gives her millions. Paulina uses the money to go abroad and start her business along with Karl and the baby, whom she doesn't know isn't Karl and Natalia's daughter. Natalia chose to study abroad and erase all the things from her past, including her heartbreak and her child's death.
