In Vernazza, he visits the town's famous hillside vineyards and makes his own version of lemon tiramisu.

In the rice growing region of Mantova (or Mantua), Gino makes tasty chocolate rice pudding for the chefs cooking for the guests of the traditional local rice festival. In the city of love, Verona, Gino poses for young art school students, picks who sketched him the best, and prepares actual Italian meatballs for them.

Gino visits the majestic Lake Garda near Verona, joins a rowing practice for the annual regatta and cooks sausage and bean casserole for the rowers. In Bolzano, a former German town at the foot of the Dolomites, Gino learns about the local culture, folk dances and German sausage. After a harrowing cable car ride up the mountain, he jumps on the 100 years old Renon train line and, inspired by the German apple strudel, prepares his own version of the apple crumble for the engine driver.

Gino wraps up his exciting train tour of Northern Italy by focusing on the picturesque lake Iseo of the five great lakes area and the Train of Flavours which circles it. He spends a day with the local fishermen, prepares grilled agone fish with tomato salad for the train's passengers, visits the family of traditional boat makers on the tiny and cosy lake island town of Monte Isola and cooks delicious pears poached in vine and vanilla for them.
