The team then travels to another castle with a far more gruesome tale. The Bathory Ruins at Cachtice Castle in Slovakia are home to the final resting place of prolific and infamous serial killer Elizabeth Bathory.

The building has housed 1000 years of violent history, having sheltered many French and Jewish refugees during the genocide of the Cathars and Knights Templar.

The tunnels, which are also known as "les Carrieres de Paris", were once used for mining and are now believed to contain human remains. Then, the Ghost Hunters head to Haux, France, where they investigate the Chateau Lagorce, a home that has a horrific history and was used by the Nazis in World War II. The current residents of the estate have reported paranormal encounters in each of the 15 bedrooms.
