The Impossible Mission

CONTROL gets information that KAOS is going to use a television special featuring band-leader Herb Talbot to send out a deadly formula. Max and 99 go undercover as performers on the special (Max as a trumpet player with a computerized trumpet, and 99 as a dancer) to find out how the formula will be smuggled out. Unfortunately, their cover is blown and after a wild chase they are trapped in the television studio's control room. While they are trapped, Max makes a decision that will alter his and 99's lives forever.

The Chief is thrilled, but because of CONTROL policy against spies marrying he must forbid it. Will policy be changed to allow Max and 99 to marry? Also, will they live long enough to make it to the altar?

Spiegel, sells Max the valuable Morris Diamond to keep the Winters and Sommers from getting their hands on it. When 99 shows the ring to the Chief, he suspects that Max might be on the take. However, he is cleared and accidentally returns the ring to the two agents. Now Max and 99 must find out how the duo intend to smuggle the diamond out of the country before its too late.

The Worst Best Man

However, 99 mistakes the two recruits for KAOS agents and now Max must tail his two students.

With Hymie on assignment, the Chief tells Max that former CONTROL chief Admiral Hardgrade, who is in town for an important conference as well as an old timers softball game, will be Max's new best man. However, KAOS's master of disguise, the Chameleon, is also in town bent on kidnapping the admiral and crashing the conference. Now Max must be on the lookout for the KAOS agent who can perfectly imitate anyone. Also, Max and 99 deal with a rather effeminate interior decorator who they hired to redecorate the apartment prior to the wedding.

Max meets with KAOS defector Dr. Madre who has offered to give Max the map to the KAOS owned Melnick uranium mine. However, Madre informs Max that the wine he is drinking was spiked with a tonic that turned the map into a liquid and that it will cause him to break out in a rash in the form of the map. Unfortunately, it will take 48 hours for the map to fully appear and within that 48 hour window is Max and 99's wedding. Max must then try to find a way to not only postpone the wedding, but stay vertical for 48 hours in order for the map to appear. Of course, this doesn't stop a couple of KAOS agents from crashing the wedding.

The Laser Blazer

Max is sent to Hong Kong to pick up a blazer for CONTROL. However, what he doesn't know is that the blazer is CONTROL'S new secret weapon, the laser blazer. When he returns he finds out that 99 has hired a maid, who happens to be a KAOS plant intent on stealing the weapon. Unfortunately, before Max is able to deliver the blazer to CONTROL it is accidentally sent to the cleaners. Now Max and the Chief must find it before KAOS gets their hands on it.

The Farkas Fracas

Naomi Farkas is the Smarts' overly friendly and nosy next door neighbor. However, what they don't know is that Naomi and her slob of a husband Emil are a pair of KAOS agents and that her brother, KAOS district manager Arnold Borgia, have assigned the bickering couple to spy on Max and 99, even to the point of bugging their apartment. They hear that Max has invited the Chief over for dinner and when he arrives they find out two things; after the Chief leaves the Smarts' apartment he will be heading to the Pentagon with a list of KAOS defectors and that the Smarts have no dessert, which the Chief loves. Naomi then offers 99 some chocolate mousse that has been laced with a small amount of poison to cause everyone to leave the room so that she and Emil can photograph the list and, hopefully, get a huge bonus from her brother.

Temporarily Out of CONTROL

Max and 99 are getting ready to finally go on their honeymoon, but just as they are about to leave they find out that Max has been called up for his naval reserve duty. Max then goes to the Chief to see if he can do something but it turns out that the Chief has also been called up. Also, due to CONTROL being a secret organization, the Navy doesn't know they are secret agents. However, the worst part is that it will prevent the Chief from meeting with a Spanish secret agent. Max and the Chief soon discover that their roles are reversed as Max is an ensign and the Chief is a sailor. While on duty Max and the Chief see in a newspaper that 99 has contacted the agent, but discover that he is an impostor because he is signing 99's autograph book right handed and the real agent is left handed. Now they must find a way to get off the ship and stop the impostor before he makes off with some very important papers.

Schwartz's Island

Max and 99 are finally on their honeymoon. Unfortunately, their boat blows up and they wind up stranded on an uncharted island. They soon discover that the island is a KAOS base manned by Siegfried and Starker, who informs them that the island is a fake and that it is mobile. Siegfried soon informs the newlyweds that he intends to use a giant magnet on the island to run the 7th Fleet aground and then, with an even larger magnet on the ocean floor, sink the island as well as the fleet. However, things go from bad to worse when the Chief, who was searching for the couple, is captured as well. Can they get off the island and save the fleet before it's too late?

The Chief and Larabee eventually find the location, but are captured themselves. It is now up to Max to find and save them.
