In 1966, NBC began airing on Saturday afternoons, the Major League Baseball Game of the Week. This nationally televised coverage featured regular season MLB games and was a significant milestone in baseball broadcasting. Curt Gowdy served as the main play-by-play voice for NBC during this period. Gowdy would eventually be partnered in the announcer's booth with Tony Kubek, former NY Yankees shortstop. Broadcasting legend Mel Allen would eventually contribute a popular segment titled "This Week In Baseball" and offer TWIB notes that highlighted the previous weeks baseball accomplishments.
There are no TV Airings of Game of the Week in the next 14 days.
