Four men are recruited by Kika Ferragut, head of the powerful Chilean drug cartel, for a job that will change their lives: transporting tons of cocaine from Bolivia to the Chilean port of Iquique, in exchange for a million dollars. The group is made up of Vicente Ferragut, son of Kika; Mario Moreno, an old lieutenant of the cartel and trusted aide to Kika; Tegui, a new friend of Vicente's, and Oscar Salamanca, a leftist mercenary hired as head of strategy. The four men meet and plan the delivery of the drugs, which they have already managed to bring into Chilean territory. Suddenly, the final destination turns out to be Valparaíso, where an unexpected ambush disrupts their plans.In addition to the police, a rival group of a drug cartel intercepts them and makes off with the drugs. In the midst of the confusion, Tegui, who in reality is the detective Álvaro Párraguez who has infiltrated the Ferragut cartel, kills a colleague in self defense, thereby revealing a much more extensive conspiracy. The next victim will be Gabriela, Mario Moreno's pregnant wife.From prison, Kika Ferragut is controlling the operation; however, now the rules of the game are changing. Laura, her daughter and attorney, over whom she maintains an iron grip, will not be able to bribe anyone in the current circumstances.After the failure of the operation, the four men become Fugitives. The police and a rival cartel are after them; everyone is hiding something, but they have to stay together to survive, running away without understanding who they're running from.

After the failure of the operation, the four Fugitives hide out in an apartment under the protection of an oldcomrade-in-arms of Salamanca's. Vicente operates on Tegui, who has been wounded in the shootout at the port, while Mario Moreno falls into despair over the death of Gabriela, his pregnant wife, and Oscar Salamanca finds out that his daughter, Irma, has been kidnapped and is probably in the hands of a rival cartel.At the same time, Tegui gets in touch with his ex, the prosecutor Ximena Carbonell, who brings him up to date on the activities of Inspector Marcos Oliva, chief of police, who is playing for both sides.The only survivor of the attack in the port is hanging by a thread between life and death in a hospital in Valparaíso: this is Iván Aguilera, son of the powerful drug trafficker, Cacho Aguilera. In a spectacular operation, the Fugitives intercept Aguilera's transfer and take him hostage.

The fugitives follow the trail of Cacho Aguilera, with whom they negotiate an exchange of Salamanca's daughter, Irma, and Aguilera's son, Iván. Irma is in the hands of the Buitre, a sadistic narco in Cacho's gang, who is abusing her. Tegui communicates with Inspector Oliva and lays a trap for him to prove that he has sold out to Cacho Aguilera's cartel. In prison, Kika Ferragut is transferred from her cell and, fearing for her life, tells her sons that time is running out. The exchange of the hostages is worked out to take place in the mountains; however, Iván dies before the handover and Marcos Oliva, who has been tipped off by Aguilera, informs his people of the presence of the fugitives in the area. In the end, Tegui turns the tables and the fugitives hand over Inspector Oliva, passing him off as Iván Aguilera, while managing to recover Irma, then once again they are on the lam.The bonds among the four fugitives begin to grow tighter. No one really trusts anyone else, but they all know they need one another to survive.

In prison, Kika Ferragut is the target of an assassination attempt and is transferred to a hospital in Santiago. Her son Vicente offers to double the rest of the group's cut if they help him to rescue his mother before it's too late. While the fugitives are hiding out in a hotel in the city, now accompanied by Irma, Tegui's ex, Ximena Carbonell, tells Fabián Salgado, her current mate and a policeman, her version of the facts. The two of them go to the office of Chief Prosecutor Ariel Casas, who is in charge of the investigation. Despite the evidence incriminating him, Ximena defends Alvaro Parraguéz (Tegui), while Cacho Aguilera is more determined than ever to hunt down the fugitives. Salamanca suspects that Tegui is an undercover agent, and confronts him; Tegui, for his part, has found out that Salamanca is ill. Each needs the other, and they agree to a pact of silence. In an extreme rescue operation, the fugitives confront the police and Aguilera's men and manage to get away with Kika Ferragut.

After the abduction of Kika Ferragut, Fabián begins to suspect Inspector Oliva, and together with Ximena sets in motion a plan to spy on Aguilera and discover who his contact is on the police force. Meanwhile, the fugitives, joined by Kika now, along with her daughter Laura and Irma, are looking for a way to get a hold of some cash to get to the border, where an old friend will get them out of the country.Oliva anticipates Tegui's moves and locates them in a remote village, where he sends Aguilera's men with the mission of killing them all. However, the local authorities intervene, and in the moment of their arrest, a truck demolishes the place where they are holed up, and the fugitives escape once again, together with Kika who has been wounded in the leg.

While the fugitives are under the protection of El Chele, who is an old friend of the Ferragut family, the relationship between Inspector Oliva, Fabián and Ximena becomes increasingly tense, resulting in Fabián's dismissal from the unit. Hours later, Oliva contacts him and they set up a meeting that will cost Detective Fabián very dearly.While waiting for the appointed time to cross the border into Argentina, Kika and El Chele settle an outstanding matter between them and an old feud between the Queen of the Pacific and her husband comes to the surface. Laura confronts her mother and accuses her of the death of her father; she suspects El Chele and finds a confidant in Tegui. Time proves her right: El Chele is not on their side, and Aguilera has them in his sights. The web of deception engulfing the fugitives is increasingly complex. There is no longer anyone to trust, and as the noose is drawn tighter, the destinies of the four men are bound more tightly together.

El Chele is exposed: he was the one who murdered Gabriela, Moreno's wife, and together with Aguilera, was awaiting the right moment to kill the fugitives. However, luck is on the side of the fugitives and El Chele will pay dearly for his betrayal. Salamanca, Tegui, Vicente, Moreno, Irma, Laura and Kika, who has been wounded in the leg, flee once again, on foot this time, leaving behind Aguilera's gang and El Chele, who swear to get revenge, bringing aboard La Roja, a dreaded gun-for-hire and former comrade-in-arms of Salamanca's. Inspector Oliva sows doubt in the mind of Ximena and shows her evidence that implicates Párraguez (Tegui) in the murder of Fabián Salgado. The group hides out in a spiritual retreat house. Laura and Tegui are becoming increasingly close, Vicente reveals his secret passions as details of his personal life become known, involving a national legislative deputy in his reelection campaign.

La Roja and the police find the fugitives and a confrontation ensues, which ends with the burning down of the seminary and the arrest of La Roja. The fugitives flee into the mountains, guided by Fresia, an Indian woman who knows the country. In the midst of adversity, Salamanca becomes close to his daughter, and Tegui and Laura start up a relationship. Kika Ferragut's wound is getting worse, and the group splits in two: Salamanca, Laura, Irma and Tegui are guided by Fresia to an indigenous community, while Vicente, Kika and Mario seek medical assistance for The Queen, whose hours, however, are numbered.Salamanca is getting worse as each day goes by, and his illness is increasingly apparent. Tegui knows about it and Salamanca also knows that he is an undercover police agent, but each keeps silent in a gesture of complicity. Salamanca is being treated by an Indian witch, and in the midst of the ritual, Berta, the mother of Irma, appears to him, begging for the life of her daughter. In a series of hallucinations, the torments and ghosts that have bedeviled Salamanca are brought to light: the tragic death of his wife, Irma's mother, for which he blames himself, and the rape of his daughter at the hands of the Buitre.

Tegui and Vicente arrive at the cemetery and find Salamanca dead, as Moreno escapes. Meanwhile Laura, together with the Spaniard Quijada, confronts Aguilera, who is reinforced by his men. Just as Adriana Bascuñan had planned, the war between the narcos continues, and little by little they are wiping each other out. Tegui and Ximena exchange information: there is no one left to trust; nevertheless, Ximena is determined to see justice done and clear Párraguez (Tegui) of all guilt. She offers the information in her possession to the Deputy Ignacio Córdova, intimate and secret friend of Vicente Ferragut. The Deputy sees in this a political opportunity and wants to reveal all information and publicly accuse the Under Secretary of Public Security. However, he, too, will be betrayed by one of his closest collaborators. With everything prepared for his escape, Oliva gives Aguilera one final task: to bump off a Government minister.

After recovering the codes to the bank accounts that Moreno had stolen, Vicente and Laura plan their escape by boat to Peru with the Spaniards, and Cacho Aguilera puts an end to the life of Inspector Oliva.Mario Moreno is delivered to Prosecutor Casas, who is preparing to arrest the Under Secretary of Public Security during a ceremony that is to be held for the massacre in the port. However, nothing in this story turns out as planned. Adriana Bascuñán has now accomplished her mission: violence for violence and death for death, and she orders La Roja to kill her. When La Roja prepares to carry out this assignment, she is interrupted by Tegui, who has decided to turn himself in and serve as a witness in the case against Minister Bascuñán. The two struggle and in the end, detective Alvaro Párraguez winds up implicated in another death and is forced to keep on running, while Ximena Carbonell loses her job and is accused of a cover-up. Tegui and Irma arrive in Valparaíso and meet up with Vicente, who reveals the betrayal of his sister Laura. As the three fugitives set out once more to escape in a stolen boat, Laura and the two-faced Spaniard toast their triumph on an airplane that whisks them off to an unknown destination with the entire Ferragut fortune.
