Matt Basile vs. Massimo Capra

44 mins

Chefs Matt Basile and Massimo Capra, who come from two very different culinary backgrounds and thus perspectives, have two very different fridge wars challenges. In the first, they will be cooking for the Ramsays, who by their photographs are a very fit household of five, but those photographs only tell part of the story in that their meals are animal protein heavy with very little produce in none of them being very adventurous cooks. The chefs have the added "what the h***?" ingredient in an egg carton containing only one egg and a whole bunch of egg shells. In the second, they will be cooking for the Fuentes-Pinoses, a family of six, who have a diverse ethnic background and thus palates of the parents being Cuban and Spanish, respectively, with their Canadian born children having a taste for fast food. While the chefs may be wowed by what is provided in their fridge, they may not be aware that it solely reflects the Spanish father, the primary cook of the household. They are thrown a twist when their meal for six very different ages and thus palates is expanded to ten halfway through the challenge to mimic the Fuentes-Pinos' regular Saturday evening dinner for extended family.
