He even gives counsel to a fan, who happens to be facing a similarly difficult decision, and makes his decision based on what the fan decides. Little does he know the ramifications this chance encounter will have.

Lana is less than happy when her ex, Bob (the man Frasier counseled in Part 1) returns. She throws him out and looks to Frasier for advice. He swallows his feelings and advises her to take him back, leaving Frasier alone again. He takes a trip to clear his head and figure out his problems with women, which go back much farther than he ever dreamed.

The First Temptation of Daphne

Daphne stumbles across a file of one of Niles' patients, who is in love with him via "transference". Niles refuses to talk about her, citing patient-therapist confidentiality. Daphne's paranoia sends her to extreme lengths to learn anything she can about her. Meanwhile, Frasier is taunted by a rather chirpy cricket.

The Return of Martin Crane

Martin is about to start a new job as a security guard, and the occasion dredges up memories of the fateful day years ago when he was shot. These memories appear in flashback: while out on patrol with his partner Frank, he pleads with Martin to pull into a convenience store so he could get a slushy. Martin ultimately gives in and pulls into the parking lot of a store that was being robbed. Martin got shot and his shooter got away. Frasier has ordered a special congratulatory cake, which Roz delivers. Meanwhile, Niles has bought Daphne tickets to a Billy Joel concert for that evening, and she has bought him tickets to a festival of Mongolian throat-singing, also for that evening. This means they have to decide which to attend, so Niles offers Frasier the tickets to the throat-singing concert. Martin then points out that someone has to walk Eddie at 10 p.m, so as he prepares to leave for work, the others discuss (and argue) who should do this job. When Roz arrives with the cake, she finds herself drawn into the argument.

Love Stinks

Frasier feels dejected one morning when he discovers a graffiti poem about him on the toilet wall at work, calling him a snob. He decides to host a party for the entire station in an attempt to get to know everyone better. He asks Roz to invite her new boyfriend, Roger, but she claims that she thinks Roger would be uncomfortable with the people at the party. When Frasier asks whether this has anything to do with Roger's occupation (waste collector), Roz tersely denies having any problem. She later changes her mind, but closely watches Roger at the party and cuts in quickly every time his profession is mentioned in conversation. When Roger overhears Roz saying to Kenny that not everyone has a job they are proud of, he promptly leaves. After the party, Frasier has made friends with everyone, but he rues this new popularity among people with whom he has nothing in common, and wants things to be back the way they were. Meanwhile Roz feels upset after the break-up with Roger and admits to still being in love with him, although she cannot get past the issue of his job.

Room Full of Heroes

Frasier throws a Halloween party where the guests come dressed as their personal heroes: Frasier of course is Sigmund Freud, Martin is Joe DiMaggio, Daphne is Elton John, and Roz comes as Wonder Woman. However, Niles' choice of Martin as his hero gets under Frasier's skin.

Bla-Z-Boy

It's been eight years since Martin moved in with Frasier, and the realization of that fact has irked Frasier. This sparks a series of spats between the two, which comes to a head when Martin accidentally ruins the carpet. Frasier's belief that "there is no such thing as an accident" leads him to accuse Martin of a sub-consciously malicious act. However, when Frasier unwittingly burns Martin's favorite chair, the shoe ends up on the other foot.

Having just aired his 2000th radio show, Frasier is shocked to find that he is missing the tape for one of them, June 14, 1996. Daphne admits to having accidentally wrecked the tape and Frasier puts out a call on air for any fan to provide him with a copy should they have it. He obsesses over it all but takes heart when a fan, Tom, calls in to say he has it. Turns out Tom is something of an obsessive himself, having quit his job so as not to miss the show. He also has an entire wall dedicated to Frasier Crane memorabilia.

Sharing Kirby

Kirby stops by KACL looking for a job, but Frasier gives him the brush-off. Niles comes across a case of rare wine, and reneges on his standing agreement to split such finds with Frasier. As revenge, Frasier dupes Niles into taking on Kirby to rearrange his library. Niles learns that Kirby has access to a reclusive man's wine collection, and tries to weasel his way in. Once Frasier also learns about it, they one-up each other trying to buy Kirby's favor for the one and only invite to the cellar.

Junior Agent

Frasier's show has been losing the ratings to a hot new program, Dr. Zach, which has a heavy advertising budget. KACL refuses to match their exposure, so Frasier calls on Bebe to turn the screws. When she tries to turn him over to her assistant/junior agent Portia, he discovers that she's been representing Dr. Zach personally. Frasier severs ties with her agency, or so he thinks. Portia proves to be more forceful than her tiny stature would indicate. Martin runs out of cholesterol pills and asks Niles to write a quickie prescription, but he refuses on principle.

Bully for Martin

Frasier discovers that Martin's supervisor at work, Rich, is treating him badly, being unnecessarily bossy and disrespectful. It upsets Frasier to see his father in this situation, even though Martin insists that it does not bother him, because he respects the chain of command. Frasier decides to speak to the owner of the security company, who also happens to be Rich's son, and in order to ensure that their conversation remains confidential, he agrees to hire a bodyguard on a trial basis from the company. Unfortunately, this seems to do more harm than good, when Rich receives a reprimand from his son and assumes that Martin went over his head to complain. Meanwhile, Roz is boring everyone by talking endlessly about how well her relationship with Roger is going. It reaches the point where, no matter how obscure the topic of conversation, she can always turn it back to Roger. Eventually Niles, although he disapproves of his brother's meddling in Martin's business, agrees to help him solve the problem by confronting Rich, just to get away from listening to Roz. This backfires as they hide in the janitors closet to escape Martin's sight as they didn't want him to know. Martin and Rich discover them in the closet via security cameras and have a little good-matured ribbing about how their kids are always meddling in their lives. Martin gets back at Frasier and Niles for their meddling by calling them and, with Rich's help, gets "stuck" at the desk for five hours.

Niles and Daphne decide to take the plunge and live together, but when Daphne's mother and brother Simon plan a visit, she postpones the move out of concern of what her mother might think. Meanwhile, Frasier's running feud with upstairs neighbor Cam Winston escalates to new heights.

Now that Daphne's father has left Mrs. Moon, she can't bear to return home, so she decides to stay with Niles, while Daphne and Simon are staying at Frasier's. Simon's boorish behavior is too much for Frasier, and he throws him out. With nowhere else to go, Simon abandons Mrs. Moon and goes to California. Daphne tires of her mother's incessant nitpicking and angrily asserts herself to her and announces her decision to live with Niles. Mrs. Moon threatens to return to England, but when she realizes that no one cares, she fakes an injury to get sympathy to stay. Meanwhile, after his attempt to get Cam's flag removed fails, Frasier cuts a deal with him to get his view back.

The Proposal

Niles is planning to propose to Daphne, and he wants everything to be just perfect. Frasier helps him to choose a ring; Roz advises him on what (and what not) to say; and even Martin takes part in the wine-tasting, although after several glasses he discovers why, when Niles asks him to take Daphne's mother out for the evening. He reluctantly agrees, and has to spend the evening fending off Gertrude's amorous advances. Meanwhile, while Frasier and Niles are arranging everything at Niles' apartment, and Wolfgang Puck is preparing dinner for them, Daphne arrives in a terrible state and announces that she has the flu. Suddenly, Frasier has to smuggle numerous participants out of the apartment unseen, but Niles soon realises that the event itself need not be postponed. Ultimately, Niles proposes to Daphne and she accepts, and they both spend time together despite her being ill.

Wheels of Fortune

Michael Keaton guest-stars as Blaine Sternin, Lilith's half-brother. Frasier loathes him, as over the years Blaine has come up with numerous schemes to bilk Frasier out of his hard-earned money. Blaine arrives at Frasier's house in a wheelchair, claiming that his accident has made him a changed man, a man of God. Frasier doesn't believe it for a second, but the others are outraged at his accusations and the lengths that he will go to prove Blaine to be nothing but a con man.

Three Blind Dates

Niles, Daphne and Roz feel sorry for Frasier when he tells them that he will be attending an art exhibition alone one evening. They realise that he has not had a proper relationship since Claire, and conspire to see if they can find suitable women for him to date. Niles suggests a former patient of his, Lisa, who has several interests in common with Frasier. He tries to engineer circumstances in which they could meet by chance, taking Frasier along to the bookstore which she owns, but without success. Roz then brings an artistic friend of hers called Suzanna to dinner at Frasier's apartment, but she and Frasier have a disagreement over the work of Benjamin Locklear. Finally, Martin puts Frasier in touch with a young woman called Kris, whom Frasier finds very attractive, but during their pre-dinner drinks at her favourite bar she starts playing pool with some friends and her attention disappears from Frasier almost completely. It is only when she sends him next door to get some change that his fortunes begin to improve.

War of the Words

Frederick is due to compete in the National Spelling Championship, and Frasier has been training him very thoroughly, even in stance and diet. Frederick does extremely well in the spelling bee, and is crowned National Champion. However, the parents of the runner-up notice an anomaly when watching the recording: it seems that Frasier was unconsciously mouthing the letters of the final word as Frederick spelled it out. The trophy is then re-awarded to the runner-up, Warren Clayton, but Frederick and Frasier are still invited to the finalists' banquet, where they are subjected to taunts and accusations of cheating. Frederick will not tolerate his father being called a cheater, and challenges Warren to a re-match.

Deathtrap

Frasier and Niles learn that their childhood home is up for sale, and they go to look at it as potential buyers. They recall leaving a time capsule in the floor, but the owner refuses to allow them to pry the floorboards loose to look for it. They sneak back in that night, pop the floorboards up, and discover much to their surprise a skull. Their minds now race as they try to solve their newest "Crane Boys Mystery". Roz wrestles with how to explain death to Alice after her hamster dies.

The Love You Fake

Frasier and Cam Winston are still feuding. When Cam's mother Cora, a vet, treats Eddie, she and Martin forge a friendship that neither Frasier nor Cam can bear to stand. So the parents pretend to start dating to really get under their sons' skins. Niles agrees to ride on a Segway full-time as part of an experiment, and is quite annoying doing so.

Cheerful Goodbyes

Frasier returns to Boston to give a speech, and Niles, Daphne and Martin come along to see the city. He runs into Cliff Clavin in the airport, and learns that he is retiring and moving to Florida. They all attend his retirement party, and Frasier reunites with the rest of the gang from Cheers.

Frasier Has Spokane

Frasier's show has branched out to Spokane, and he goes to the station in Spokane to meet the press. He learns that he is replacing Sully, a well-beloved 35-year staple of Spokane radio. He quickly finds out that Sully will be a tough act to follow, when first the press and then his callers refuse to warm up to him.

The Guilt Trippers

It's Daphne's birthday, and Niles' gift to her is a romantic Hawaiian vacation. That reminds both Daphne's mother and Roz of the men they've recently lost. After the party, Frasier comforts Roz as a friend, but they wind up in bed together, for the first time after numerous close calls. When Roz runs off the next morning to Wisconsin for a family reunion that she previously had been dreading to attend, Frasier fears their friendship might be permanently damaged. He goes to Wisconsin after her to make sure they're still friends. Meanwhile, Niles decides to give his half of the vacation to Mrs. Moon, so that he can secretly fly to England to try to convince her husband to come back to her.

Moons Over Seattle

Niles' persistence finally convinces Daphne's father to come to Seattle to reconcile with his wife. Daphne is disappointed that Niles didn't consult her first, but is on board with the plan. Ultimately, it just doesn't work out, and Mr. Moon plans to return home. Daphne is disillusioned at how they could be married for forty years, only for it to fall apart in a flash, and wonders if that might happen to her and Niles some day. Mr. Moon convinces her that Niles is the perfect man to spend the rest of her life with.
