After legal heavyweight Rachel King (Heather Locklear) humiliates Franklin & Bash on national television, Stanton hires her to help run the firm. Peter and Jared represent a famous magician (guest star Adam Goldberg) after a bracelet vanishes and never reappears. Damien intentionally re-releases an embarrassing viral video with hopes to expedite his judicial appointment. Pindar finds a termite in his bed and has the house tented, but staying on the outside proves too difficult and results in the Man Cave's destruction.

The gang moves into Infeld's beach house and Peter is quick to pursue their beautiful neighbor, Charlie (guest star Nikki Whelan). Jared and Peter must prove a veteran is alive after a clerical error wrongfully pronounced him deceased and he is poised to lose his house. Karp is increasingly concerned about Infeld's erratic behavior, which comes to a head when he befriends a Ukrainian drive-through worker and plans to marry her for a visa extension so she can pursue the American dream.

Doubting if such case can be lucrative, even by publicity, Rachel dares them again, to do better then the case she dumps on unprepared Karp: defending an alleged medium, who was fired on pretext of being a fraud, meanwhile having an undercover PI find out the real reason. Despite judge Elliot Reid's unusual tolerance for their original tactics, pleading Johnny didn't need help given his sea-legs backfires dirtily in a nausea simulator, they pull off a piracy charge after working out it was a set-up. Due to a cocky beach-house owners vendetta, Sanford urges them not to return the luxury coach they picked up unattended at the beach and donated to Pindar, who just loved it.

After the boys force actuary Wendell Singletary to settle, without admitting guilt, accused of fraud investing in life insurance for people with low life expectancies, their client is murdered. All points to Wendell, but Infeld forces them to defend him, although it seems several contracts benefited from possible 'serial' murders, yet they find the real killer closer to home. Rachel wanted to secure her godchild an exclusive school interview by 'bribing' a board member offering the defense in his bee keeping trial, but Infeld insists to handle it personally and drags along 'neglected kin' Damien, still unable to pull it of without the duo, who accept to restore their joint office. They wonder how women fall for Wendell, but Peter more subtle hits a date with a foxy beach neighbor, despite knowing she shelters her teen kid.

Encouraged by Stanton in feud-logic, the boys defend him, proving the drone didn't move illegally and even demand it back, which the judge grants provided Pindar's notebook is forensically checked, which is ruled not an invasion on his privacy. The insurance company next challenges the duo's den fire payment, as Pindar's notebook proves he has been playing with fire, albeit an indoor party trick. Meanwhile Damien is grilled by the committee to fill a bench opening, and feels betrayed as Rachel also applies and dirt was spilled which can only come from Stanton, whose alleged nepotism is Karp's other Achilles heel. Stanton negotiates a feud end with Rob Lowe's PA, even if that requires returning the samurai sword he 'borrows back' from the duo.
