Jack Haley hosts Guest include comedians Jackie Gleason, Morey Amsterdam, and Henny Youngman, opera singer Lauritz Melchior, dancers Harold Lang and Helen Gallagher, cameo by Ed Wynn, with regular Mindy Carson. Melchior joins Haley for a take-off on the novelty song "The Thing." Lang and Gallagher do a modern dance. The comics take part in a slapstick sketch called "The School for Comedy".
