Tom and Naz are a childish couple of flat-mates who have retreated from work and the outside world. However they have an enterprise in hand - to document every detail of their existence and present it as a news bulletin entitled Flat TV.

Puerile flat-mates Naz and Tom are awaiting the delivery of a package bought on ebay with a credit card belonging to their friend Mike, who is locked in the toilet. Naz hopes to go on 'Dragon's Den' to peddle his Swiss Army Hat but has put it about that the delectable Sophie is not inviting Tom to her party as he is too childish. Sophie comes in to explain that both are welcome just as Naz and Tom are fighting, breaking the hat and the ebay purchase, a life size cut-out of Bear Grylls, but she does get to see Tom's package.

Naz imagines himself on Nasterchef creating a new sauce, consisting of other sauces, truffle oil, shower gel and Haribo but it does not meet with general approval. Tom meanwhile in his pursuit of Sophie breaks into her flat and when she surprises him claims he is the fire officer. Unfortunately he and Naz then start a real fire.

Tom argues with Naz for breaking flat rules and they find themselves locked out after the key falls down a drain. Tom just wants to get back in to watch 'Antiques Road Show' but Naz fancies himself as living in the wild and joins the homeless, ultimately bringing them into the flat to watch 'Antiques Road Show' and break more of Tom's rules.

In an effort to impress Sophie Tom agrees to mind their friend Aoife's teen-aged nephew Kieran for the afternoon but he turns out to be extremely manipulative, conning Tom into believing that he must treat Sophie badly in order for her to fancy him and then claiming that his father walked out on the family to gain sympathy . Naz, who has decided to become a monk, discovers that Kieran is also his nemesis - though in a different way, courtesy of video gaming.
