Sam and Charlie try to get away from it all with a quiet weekend on Pontypandy Island, but it's not as peaceful as they were hoping for.

Great Billboard of Fire

As Norman and Mike compete to promote their separate shows, Mike's electric billboard is suddenly on fire and rolling downhill towards a fuel truck down at the quay.

Episode 6

Pioneer Peril

Trevor is at the river with the Pontypandy Pioneers, who are trying to earn their raft building badges. After failing to get a previous raft building badge, James is determined to earn it this time. He even brought his tablet and a very old portable charger with him so he can look up instructions to build the perfect raft. Meanwhile, at the Fire Station, Elvis' efforts to repair a scratch on Jupiter keep ending up with him covering Steele in red paint. Back at the river, the Pioneers have finished their raft but don't realise that James' old charger has damaged wires which have overheated and set fire to the river-bank grass. The fire spreads to the trees and then heads towards the raft. The emergency is called in and Sam and the team arrive and put out the fires, spraying from opposite ends and meeting in the middle, saving the raft in the process. Once the fire is out, James admits his mistake and they all set off on their raft and all earn their badges!

Episode 7

Space Sandwich

Hannah, James and Sarah launch a sandwich into space and a surprise rescue mission when their space images capture a flair in the mountains.

Episode 8

Operation Sea Turtle

When a sea turtle is spotted off the coast of Pontypandy, the whole community gets out on their boats to clean up the waters. Sam and Elvis are in Neptune picking plastic out of the ocean. No matter what he tries, Elvis can't quite get his hands a big white plastic chair! Meanwhile, Norman and Hannah catch a glimpse of the turtle and desperate to get a better look, fight to use Joe's BinocuMaster, knocking it overboard. Now Joe and Hannah will have to launch the SubMaster and find the sinking Binocumaster, with Norman acting as 'Mission Control'. They soon realize they're in trouble as the sub runs out of power. Norman calls Fireman Sam and a search and rescue operation is launched. As Joe and Hannah wait for help, Hannah spots the sea turtle again. She swims out and gently removes the plastic wrapped around its neck. It's not long before Sam and Elvis arrive to save them. As they tow the SubMaster back to shore, Elvis has a stroke of luck and finally captures his great white chair!

Episode 9

Escape from Dinosaur Island

Professor Pickles has taken Norman, Derek, Sarah, Mandy and Hannah to Pontypandy Island for a 'Dinosaur Adventure'. Quickly Derek and Norman start trying to scare each other. On the water, Sam, Elvis, Ben and Penny are practising their skills with Titan's water cannons on floating targets. Elvis is eager to have a go but must be patient as Penny is up first. Back on the Island, Norman's attempts to frighten Derek with cardboard dinosaur shadows and scary noises makes him run into the strings of a large pterodactyl kite and he's yanked off a cliff, falling onto the ledge below. Just as Elvis is about to get his turn, Derek's rescue is called in! Sam and the team negotiate a thrilling cliff rescue and Derek is saved. The pterodactyl kite turns out to be a perfect target for Titan's Cannons, and Elvis finally gets his turn. This time it's Norman that gets a soaking!

Episode 10

Caribbean Cookout

Malcolm is joining the Wild Men of Pontypandy for a cookout. But when Nipper steals Malcolm's BBQ chicken and they try to get it back, the BBQ is knocked down the hill and into the train station.

Episode 11

Blazing a Trail

It's been a hot summer and Sam and the team are on high alert. Malcolm goes on a hike with Mike, Helen, Mandy and Norman. But when a forest fire starts, Malcolm must keep them all safe until Sam and the team can find them.

Episode 12

Deputy James

James really wants to be a police officer when he grows up and convinces PC Malcolm to be his deputy for the day. But when Mike's lunch goes missing and Dilys' vegetable display is wrecked, it would seem they have a real mystery on their hands. At the Fire Station, Lizzie is trying to teach the team all about rescuing horses, but the horse has gone missing. It doesn't take long for James to crack the case of the missing lunch, when he finds the lost horse roaming the streets. Unfortunately, when James tries to arrest her, the horse bolts and pulls James along for the ride. PC Malcolm does his best to rescue James, but realizes he's going to need Fireman Sam's help. The two 'steer' the horse towards the swimming pool in the park. Once the horse is stuck in the pool, Fireman Sam keeps the it calm while PC Malcolm rescues James. Finally, it's time for Fireman Sam and the team to do a horse rescue for real.

Episode 13

Ukulele Crazy

When Sarah tries to turn Trevor into a ukulele rock star, the filming of his first video goes wrong and he ends up heading for the waterfall's edge. Sam and the team manage to save the day and end up the surprise stars.
