Episode 2
Sun, Sep 17, 197223 mins
A simple, clear-cut retelling of the tale, but with a few creative embellishments. In her oppression by her obnoxious (and very busty) stepmother and stepsisters Leania and Fatima (whose names reflect their figures), Cinderella has six non-human, non-speaking friends: three mice and two white doves whom she cares for and who help her make her stepsisters' ballgowns, and a pumpkin that she carves into a jack o'lantern named Jack, who moves every now and then as if he were alive. When Cinderella's pink-clad, absent-minded Fairy Godmother appears, she turns Jack into Cinderella's coach, the birds into horses, and the mice into a coachman and footmen. The Fairy Godmother is also revealed to be an actual godmother to Cinderella, having known her late father and promised him that she would grant Cinderella's wishes. In another unusual twist, after midnight not only does the magic end, but Cinderella only remembers the night as having been a dream. Yet unbeknownst to her, the second glass slipper remains inside Jack. The next day, before the Prince can leave after the slipper Cinderella lost fails to fit Leania and Fatima, the two doves retrieve the other slipper to reveal Cinderella's identity as the mystery princess to everyone, including herself. She and the Prince are married and live happily ever after.
