Episode 1
The Celestial Choir

Canon Fox, on the jury, is pleasantly surprised that the Kembleford parish choir finally, after years of ending at the bottom of the regional pre-selection, qualified for the Three Counties competition, dominated by Anglican choirs. On the big day, Lady Felicia has to stand in unprepared for one of the six choristers and Inspector Mallory joins the bus party, having forgotten to accompany his daughter to the youth division. However on their way to the cathedral, the bus breaks down with leaky fuel line beyond Bunty's repair capacity, apparently sabotaged. The star soloist is found unconscious in a toilet, a death threat painted on a barn of the farm where they sought rain shelter. They continue on foot, braving a bull-terrorized meadow, to the train station, too late, but arrive by alternative transport, albeit too late. Brown works out the problems from within, such as the side-tracked ex-director, and rival choirs, notably the prison chaplain's.

The Queen Bee

Father Brown investigates when a beekeeper dies, and finds she has made enemies of almost everybody who knows her. The story has echoes of events long ago in India and in Great War Britain, and has a priceless jewel at its heart. It also features a guest appearance by some bees.

The body of the wealthy but disreputable Teddy Neville-Crowley is found in the grounds of his large country house following a 'Great Gatsby' themed party where he argued with Bunty. Father Brown's friend is arrested and charged with murder after confessing she had hit Teddy with a tree branch. Can she be saved from the gallows?

The Wisdom of the Fool

A travelling "Convention of Merriment" fair of jesters, led by retired chief Inspector Sir Toby Dobson, is raising money for St. Mary's parish in Kembleford, home of Uncle Mirth. When generally discredited female doctor and euthanasia-practitioner Belmont stumbles into the fair and dies from an overdose herself, father Brown, Mrs McCarthy and Bunty investigate. They find the merry bunch is in fact a group of vigilantes, grieving loved-ones and devoted to 'righting wrong failures to convict' throughout the country. The group finds out, fears exposure and condemn the trio to be executed by Toby's shy son, Bunty's former school friend Fred, whose brother had been murdered.

The Folly of Jephthah

A stranger in the confessional turns out to be someone Father Brown knows well, and the stage is set for an adventure in thievery and deception featuring rival globetrotting villains and Italian organised crime. An intricately plotted tale in which the priest's ethics are tested.

The Numbers of the Beast

Mrs. McCarthy's sister Roisin Crayford turns up in Kembleford, indebted to loan sharks. She takes Mrs. McCarthy to her newfound lover, 'gipsy' fortune teller and lifter of curses Trafalgar Devlin. From Mrs. McCarthy's tea leaves he reads the winning numbers in a charity bingo game worth £750. Mrs. McCarthy wins using them, feels guilty, gives half the money to the bingo organizer Samuel Hinds, desperate for money to pay for the restoration of a church roof, and promises half to Roisin. Also at the game were schizophrenic Peter Bailey and his wife Alison, who is stabbed dead. Mallory arrests Peter, holding the murder weapon. Father Brown finds complex links between Trafalgar, Samuel, Alison, Peter and the McCarthys plus the bingo fraud technique.
Episode 7
The River Corrupted

A mill owner is harangued in a pub by a narrowboat pilot, then found dead on a towpath shortly afterwards. An old friend of the parish team asks Father Brown to investigate, causing tension between Bunty and his new love interest. Suspicions swirl as the gang are convinced the police have the wrong man but need to find the guilty party quickly.

The Curse of the Aesthetic

Team Brown and the police duo attend the fancy art exhibition at Benjamin Milton's family estate, dedicated to the memory of his muse Isabella Peroux, whose corpse was never found after her suicide from the cliffs. Dealer-collector Conrad French moves into the small B&B run by Benjamin's sister, would be-artist Katie, who resents him getting the lion share of the inheritance and the still in-living nanny Ribble who allegedly talked over their father, always having favored the boy. French is mildly electrocuted by a door knob during the exposition, shortly afterwards nanny falls to her death. Mrs McCarthy is reluctant, unlike Bunty, to pose for Benjamin, believing the rumors about his girls having to undress. Brown finds both Miltons tormented and must work out a third crucial party's Irish secret to crack the case.
Episode 9
The Fall of the House of St Gardner

Some of Bunty's friends help get a gossip columnist fired. A London hotel cancels a booking for a fashion show in which they are involved, so Bunty offers her Kembleford home as a replacement. Father Brown and the team then help identify a killer when a gossip columnist is bludgeoned to death before revealing secrets but leaving behind a shorthand notebook among other clues.
Episode 10
The Tower of Lost Souls

A body is found at the foot of a tower in the grounds of the home of an MP. Details of the death suggest a link to a murder eight years previously. The arrival of a Scotland Yard detective irks Inspector Mallory but the stage is set for a challenging mystery for the police, Father Brown and his team.
