He goes to The Sanctuary and with his only clue-- a strand of hair, he sets out to find his killer. While there he meets a girl who "belongs" to one of the guests. When he sees she is being mistreated he tries to help especially when she tries to kill herself. Roarke shows up and reveals the girl is there on a fantasy of her own. He offers to forego his fantasy to help her. But the guy who owns her won't let her go. And a woman whose husband died a few years ago has three men vying for her and she needs help to not only choose which one but to also let go of her husband. Roarke offers her a special help.
