Meanwhile Cochise finds Anthony, who was in patrol with Bennett, and he reports that the Overlord burned Bennett to death in front of him then let him go. Tom and the 2nd Mass organize a plan to fight the Espheni, but many of the humans die or are trapped by the debris of the construction.

A Thing with Feathers
