In this documentary, Anne Quéméré, French sailor and explorer, travels to the Netherlands. The Dutch are water people, it fits in their daily lives. Although they has always known how to make water an ally, it is now about to become their enemy. In a country where 60% of their territory is at or below sea level, Anne will look back as the great floods of 1953 and meet concerned and mobilized inhabitant, as well as scientists and architects rivaling with imagination and innovation to counter the inexorable rise of water levels.
