Kirkland is an actress of enormous talent and is known as one of the hardest working actors in Hollywood, while still managing to be charming, humble and very spiritual humanitarian. The daughter of a fashion editor for Vogue and Life magazines and a Mainline Philadelphia metals merchant, Sally began her professional career as a child model for Vogue and other magazines and started acting at age 10. At 17, she was studying acting with Uta Hagen at the Herbert Berghof Studio and from there went to work for many years with Lee Strasberg at the Actor's Studio, first as a student and later as a teacher herself. Kirkland is now a lifetime member of The Actor's Studio. Her first role was in Andy Warhol's "The 13 Most Beautiful Women" in 1964. Kirkland has appeared in more than 120 films.
