The Los Angeles premiere at Rogue Machine Theatre of Cormac McCarthy's The Sunset Limited on November 6, 2010 garnered across-the-board critical acclaim and sold-out houses during the initial weeks of its run in 2010. The play was so successful that the run was extended into May 2011. The play was directed by John Perrin Flynn and starred Tucker Smallwood as Black and Ron Bottitta as White.

The film is a homage to the notion of "Genre" and is a detective film that mixes multiple genres including Film Noir, Sci-Fi, Spaghetti Westerns, Horror Camp (in the vein of Ed Wood), and more. Dawna Lee Heising of Eye on Entertainment interviewed stage, screen, and television star Sally Kirkland at her home in Los Angeles, CA. Kirkland is an actress of enormous talent and is known as one of the hardest working actors in Hollywood, while still managing to be charming, humble and very spiritual humanitarian. The daughter of a fashion editor for Vogue and Life magazines and a Mainline Philadelphia metals merchant, Sally began her professional career as a child model for Vogue and other magazines and started acting at age 10. At 17, she was studying acting with Uta Hagen at the Herbert Berghof Studio and from there went to work for many years with Lee Strasberg at the Actor's Studio, first as a student and later as a teacher herself. Kirkland is now a lifetime member of The Actor's Studio. Her first role was in Andy Warhol's "The 13 Most Beautiful Women" in 1964. Kirkland has appeared in more than 120 films.
