Jeremy Yorba covered the 2014 National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Show for Eye on Entertainment. The show was held at the Anaheim Convention Center from Thursday, January 23 through Sunday, January 26, 2014. The NAMM Show, as it has been known almost since its inception 113 years ago, occupied all 1.2 million square feet of the Anaheim Convention Center, plus additional space in nearby hotels. This year NAMM honored Motown artist Smokey Robinson with the "Music for Life" award at the 2014 NAMM Show's Breakfast of Champions, held on January 23, 2014. Robinson was recognized for his five decades of enduring influence in the world of popular music, and his long standing as one of the founders of the Motown dynasty.

Naoyuki Ikeda reveals that his ambition is to become the Japanese Gene Kelly, says Dawna Lee Heising, 'Eye on Entertainment" host and a veteran of numerous film roles. Ikeda, born in 1968, in Moriyama-ku, Nagoya, Aichi, Japan, tells Dawna that because both his parents were employed, he spent much of his spare time in front of the TV. It was then that he knew his goal was acting and more specifically to be a film dancer like his hero Gene Kelly. Though he attended he entered Tsuru University and graduated with a B.A. in English literature in 1992, Ikeda says he never lost site of his Kelly-like ambition.

Award-winning filmmaker Chandra Gerson was interviewed by Dawna Lee Heising for Eye on Entertainment. In 2009, Gerson started her own production company, KitnKat Productions. In 2012, her film Burning Distortion (2012) was accepted into the New York International Independent Film & Video Festival and won "Best Drama." Shortly after that her film, Detach (2012) was accepted into the VegasCineFest International Film Festival. She is currently working on her first feature film Book of Choices (2014). Heising will play Honora Turner in the third story in Book of Choices.

The FANtastic Film Festival will host a three-day Horror Film Festival in the Gaslamp Quarter, of San Diego, October 31 - November 2, 2014, as part of the city's Gaslamp Halloween Celebration. The FANtastic Horror Film Festival provides an outlet for independent horror films with a focus on movie viewers and the filmmakers. Nearly Four Dozen Horror feature films and shorts of all genres will compete for honors and Oscar®-type awards, such as "Best Picture" and "Best Actor," as well as genre-centric awards, such as, "Best FX," "Most Gore," and many other horror-specific categories.
