The team shows some of the behind-the-scenes work in putting together the main program, often including an entire room not shown in the main series and some work-in-progress footage of the "secret room". This program also features some of the crew members (producers, etc.) and human interest stories from the filming, along with a generous helping of footage from the main program in case you missed it. The focus is more on the program production and on sub-projects than the actual, staggering logistics of building a house from scratch in less than a week, presumably to avoid showing the weeks of planning that must precede construction.
