Episode 2
5th September 1977; German industrial leader Hanns Martin Schleyer and 84 other passengers were kidnapped on a Lufthansa plane and flown to Mogadishu. There aims were to release 10 members of the Baader Meinhof gang.
Episode 3
January 1963; former MI6 agent Kim Philby was lying low in Beirut working for a newspaper. Suspicious he was a KGB agent he met Nicholas Elliott and admitted his guilt but vanished to Moscow before they could talk again.
Episode 4
In 1953, former petty criminal Alfred Hinds is jailed for twelve years for a jewelry robbery. Hinds was sent to Nottingham Prison but sneaked through locked doors and over a 20-foot prison wall earning the nickname "Houdini" Hinds.
Episode 5
19th March 1973; John Basil Cartland and son Jeremy were taking their caravan from Spain to Pelissanne in France. Police found it a blaze. Jeremy was in hospital but his father was later found murdered and he the only suspect.
Episode 6
In 1976, black South African activist Steve Biko was murdered in custody. His friend, Daily Dispatch reporter Donald Woods, accused the Minister of Justice of being complicit and was immediately banned. His option is to escape.
