Episode 1
Young Sudha is in love with Chander. Worried about her deteriorating health, Sudha's family puts her under medication. Sudha finds it difficult to stay away from Chander and recalls the time spent with Chander.
Episode 2
Chander is unable to give time to Sudha and is felicitated by the students for winning the debate contest. Elsewhere, Sudha is upset with him for not attending a function at her house. Finally, Chander visits Sudha's house and tries to placate her.
Episode 3
Chander celebrates Shivratri with Sudha and her family. However, Sudha's father Shukla is worried when she falls sick. Chander tends to Sudha and the two share their feelings for each other.
Episode 4
Shukla is happy after interacting with Chander and is worried about Sudha's well-being. He is impressed with Chander's poetry. Sudha wants Chander's attention and they spend some quality time together. Shukla advises Sudha to behave properly at college.
Episode 5
Sudha's teacher, Miss Chatterjee meets Shukla regarding her book publication. Chandar lies to Sudha that Miss Chatterjee complained to Shukla that she is not focusing on her studies. However, Sudha learns that Chandar is playing a prank on her. Chandar confronts Thakur for taunting him about Sudha.
Episode 6
Chander warns Thakur to not make fun of Sudha. Sudha approaches Chander for the library card. She discusses Hindi literature with Chander. At Sudha's insistence, he hires a teacher, Bisariya, for her. However, Chander is upset with Sudha for not focusing on her studies.
Episode 7
Chandar reaches Shukla's student, Pammy's house. Sudha teases Chandar and inquires about his meeting with Pammy. Shukla also inquires Chandar about Pammy and his job. Sudha sprains her neck. Pammy visits Shukla's place to drop the letter.
Episode 8
At Pammi's insistence, Chander attends a function with her. Pammi enlightens him about her past life. On the other hand, Sudha invites Chander for dinner and is upset with him for not spending time with her. Chander makes Sudha realize about Pammi's fascination for him.
Episode 9
Shukla asks Trivedi to appoint Chander as the researcher at the university. Chander and Sudha are glad to spend some quality time together. Pammi shares her grief with Chander. She decides to help the earthquake victims in Kashmir. Shukla asks Chander to support Pammi.
Episode 10
Chander and Pammi visit Kashmir to help the earthquake victims and the two spend some time together. Elsewhere, Sudha is eager to extend her support to the victims and plans to go to Kashmir. Pammi strives to win Chander's love and shares her feelings with him.
Episode 11
Pammi is happy to spend some quality time with Chander in Kashmir. However, she is annoyed with him when he does not reciprocate. Sudha surprises Chander by visiting Kashmir and helps the victims. She celebrates Chander's birthday and prays for his well-being.
Episode 12
Pammi celebrates Chander's birthday. She also tells Sudha that she is in love with Chander and asks her to stay away from him. Chander is upset with Pammi for hurting Sudha. Sudha expresses her feelings to Chander and gets upset with him for ignoring her.
Episode 13
A few students protest against Dr. Shukla. Kailash handles the situation and wins Shukla's heart. He is pleased to learn that Kailash belongs to a Brahmin family. Chander is shocked as Shukla decides to get Kailash and Sudha married.
Episode 14
Chander is distressed as Shukla decides to get Kailash and Sudha married. Sudha is busy celebrating with her friends. She is tormented after Chander asks her to marry Kailash. Sudha refuses to marry and vents her frustration on Chander. He tries to pacify Sudha.
Episode 15
Chander sacrifices his love for Sudha and Kailash's sake. On the other hand, Sudha vents her frustration on Chander and he tries to pacify her. Chander attends Sudha and Kailash's marriage ceremony. Sudha is devastated during the marriage rituals.
Episode 16
Chander is dejected after Sudha and Kailash's wedding rituals are completed. Sudha breaks down while sharing her feelings with Chander. Dr. Shukla blesses Sudha during her Farewell ceremony. Chander is unable to forget Sudha.
Episode 17
Chander's life turns miserable after Sudha gets married to Kailash. Sudha and Binty share their grief with each other. Sudha urges Binty to take care of Chander. Chander finds it difficult to spend time with Sudha, and she vents out her frustration on him. Chander tries to pacify her.
Episode 18
Chander misses Sudha and is very depressed. Pammi tries to get close to Chander and spends time with him. The Shuklas are dejected as they are unable to get Binty married. Chander becomes emotional on reading Sudha's letter.
Episode 19
Sudha feels relieved after returning home, but is worried about Chander's well being. Pammi and Sudha share their grief with each other. Pammi decides to stay away from Chander and bids good bye to him. Dr Shukla is worried about Sudha's deteriorating health and treats her.
Episode 20
Binty and Dr Shukla are worried about Sudha's deteriorating health. Dr Shukla shares his grief with Chander. Sudha vents out her frustration on Chander. She urges Binty to marry Chander. Chander's life turns miserable after Sudha passes away.
