Episode 1
Dr. Keri Hudson Reykdal has dedicated her life to animals - treating them, training them and riding them, with one of the busiest and most unusual mobile units to roam the northern prairie. From preg checking on the frozen tundra in -40C weather to a bustling calving season, this spring is busier than ever and Dr. Keri is on call - 24/7. After Dr. Keri and her vet team face a difficult delivery, bottle feeding a new-born, orphaned calf becomes a family affair.
Episode 2
As a competitive reined cow-horse rider with several championships under her belt, Dr. Keri has built a special bond with her five-year-old horse, Elvis. Devastated by a tendon injury, Elvis has been resting on the sidelines. Today Dr. Keri arranges a one-day clinic in Ashern where Dr. Bell, the only board-certified equine surgeon in Manitoba, can treat Elvis and other local horses in need of his skill and experience. After months of waiting will Dr. Keri be able to ride Elvis again?
Episode 3
Dr. Keri and her team travel to Lake Manitoba First Nations to perform 25 spay and neuters. Each procedure is sponsored by caring community members who feel strongly about animal welfare. Earthdog Terrier Rescue Manitoba, working closely with Dr. Keri, travel throughout the community to spread the word about her clinic. But after one of their visits a sweet husky is surrendered to their care. Will this courageous pup find a forever home?
Episode 4
With raging fires spreading across the prairies and water bombers overhead, the town of Ashern is on full alert for possible evacuation. Navigating her way through the smoke, Dr. Keri makes a house call to Monk Farms for their annual checkup and semen testing. Their bulls' health and virility are vital to their livelihood and they rely on Dr. Keri to monitor their success. Enroute to the farm, Dr. Keri receives an emergency call. Tensions rise as the fires continue to escalate and Dr. Keri faces a life or death situation at the clinic.
Episode 5
Cats hold a special place in most people's hearts, and they would do anything to keep them safe and healthy. That's why Dr. Keri sees a lot of cats for checkups and vaccinations. But not all cats are so lucky. In Winnipeg, at least 100,000 homeless cats are trying to survive on the streets in feral colonies. For the second year in a row, Dr. Keri and her clinic on wheels team up with Lynne Scott and her unique shelter for abandoned cats, Craig St. Cats. Together they work to help relieve the suffering of feral cats. When Lynne and her team of community volunteer trappers discover newborn kittens, they bring them back to the clinic to bottle-feed them until they can be adopted by loving homes.
Episode 6
A new generation of young farmers and future ranchers are learning the ropes including Keri and Calvin's great nephew, Thorian, who Dr. Keri and Calvin hope will one day take over their farm. Most farmers want their children to follow in their footsteps and that's where the 4H Club comes in. Dr. Keri and Calvin support the 4H as it teaches the kids to learn to raise a calf, show it at the fair, and take it to market. For Dr. Keri, a city girl who learned about ranching later in life, watching her community's kids become the ranchers of the future is what it's all about.
Episode 7
Dr. Keri and her crew are heading north in the mobile clinic on their annual Interlake tour. On this trip Dr. Keri is treating a large cast of canine characters including Puss - part house cat, part Tasmanian devil; Max, a beloved Shar-Pei mix in need of eyelid surgery; Mystery, an anxious cat who tries to jump through the clinic window; and, finally, Jasper, who lost part of his paw when he was caught in a trap and is now in the care of a loving family. Dr. Keri is finishing her day treating a Pomeranian named Jake when Dundee, a dog Keri has brought back from the brink of death twice before, is brought in for treatment.
Episode 8
Dr. Keri and her clinic on wheels, are heading south to camp Winterchill where her pal Gaylene breeds Alaskan Malamute dogs. Gaylene's newest litter of puppies frolic and play while Dr. Keri gives them their first checkup and microchip implants. Back at the clinic in Ashern, it's an emergency when Tucker meets the wrong end of a porcupine. Dr. Keri carefully removes the quills from his mouth and tries to control Tucker's pain. When we meet volunteer Vet Assistant Brittany and her sweet Shih Tzu, Lacie, Dr. Keri shows us why Brittany is one of the best pet owners she knows and shares how, in this job, a love of animals is a must.
Episode 9
Vet student Jenna has started the first ever Ashern TNR program; pet follow-ups with Dr. Keri.
Episode 10
Keri's family enjoys some equestrian activities in the water; touch sensitivity of horses.
