Falso cuadro. A valuable painting is robbed. His owner is a broken nobleman who is not allowed to sell it and plans to marry for money. Mayor Laura does a love test. The result is that she and captain Anceschi do not match at all.

El último enigma. A friend of Don Matteo who is in a wheelchair and writes cryptograms is found dead and the nurse who takes care of him is suspicious. She is a former friend of Anceschi and has a son that he thinks may be his.

El turista inglés. Natalina's car is stolen and a former thief now working on a vintage car garage is suspicious.
Episode 7
Legítima defensa. A man is shot dead by the owner of a jewelry store when aparently trying to rob. But Don Matteo disagrees. Cecchini thinks his wife wants to divorce him and will do his best to avoid it by helping her at home.

La fuerza de una sonrisa. While driving his car Cecchini hits a child who rides his bicycle. While waiting in the hospital the surgeon is found unconscious after being pushed from the hospital terrace.

La última presa. A lawyer's assistant is shot dead in his hunting cabin. While trying to find out who did it Anceschi - a hunter himself- has to deal with mayor's total oposition of hunting.
Episode 10
Un domingo tranquilo. While working undercover captain Anceschi is recognized by Natalina and both are kidnapped by the criminals he investigated. Don Matteo and police will search for them.

Error humano. A young man who Don Matteo knew as a kid in Mexico years ago comes to Gubbio to work in a factory for ex-convicts. Soon after a factory worker is killed and a bracelet belonging to him is found near the dead body.
Episode 12
El sueño roto. The manager of a pottery company is found dead. Don Matteo will try to find who kill him while helping Laura's and Anceschi's mothers become friends for the benefit of their respective daughter and son.

El baile de la debutante. While preparing a debutante ball one of the seamstress is found dead. Don Matteo soon discovers she has been killed. Cecchini teaches carabinieri to dance and the mayor is elected to be the ball godmother.

In Italian with English subtitles. Gubbio is up in arms over the tampering of water bottles sold in the supermarkets. Traces of arsenic have been found in them - enough to put Marshal in the hospital, and to kill the owner of the mineral water company.

Caída del cielo. After receiving a call Don Matteo finds an abandoned baby and the research for her mother begins.

Sueños y necesidades. The owner of a real state agency is found unconscious. People hate her because she has scammed property buyers (being Anceschi one of them) but Don Matteo believes she is good deep inside.

Memoria en blanco. Captain Anceschi went fishing and is found unconscious by a dead man near the river. He has lost his memory and everybody will help him to recover it while trying to solve the murder case.

Ropa sucia. Many Gubbio citizens have lost their money when the company where all of them had it goes bankruptcy because its manager run away with the funds. At the same time three franciscan monks stay with Don Matteo for some days.

In Italian with English subtitles. A talented young dancer is run over while driving her motorbike. The suspicion hangs over her best friend, envious of the girl's success, but Don Matteo doesn't think her friend is the culprit.
Episode 20
El caballo vencedor. A veterinarian and horse owner is killed. While investigating Don Matteo will have to teach captain Anceschi how to ride a horse, as he and Cecchini must take part in a carabinieri equestrian gala in Rome.
Episode 21
El juicio universal. Don Matteo and some parishioners go to Rome to visit the sistine chapel but captain Anceschi and Cecchini slip away from the group to see the football match. Meanwhile, the art professor who guides the group is killed.
Episode 22
Las elecciones del corazón. During the mayor election campaign a tv journalist is killed and Laura's press agent is suspect. While investigating Anceschi will prove Laura that he really loves her.
Episode 23
Lo que está en juego. A robbery at the postal office causes a delay of Anceschi's marriage papers. Don Matteo searches for the thieves while he receives a notification to go to Brasil. Before leaving he finally marries Laura and Flavio.

In Italian with English subtitles. As Don Matteo leaves Gubbio on a train, a harmless tramp is stabbed in the back in the coach bathroom. It's Don Matteo's last chance to solve one more mystery with his friends and vindicate a young man accused of murder.
