Spike, Caitlin, Joey, Lucy, and Snake have a high school reunion at Degrassi Community School. Joey's wife has died and he is unsure if he wants to go to the reunion, especially after meeting Caitlin's fiancé. Meanwhile, as Emma (Spike's daughter) is preparing to enter grade 7, she meets a boy online named Jordan.

The Degrassi school reunion is under way, and Caitlin and Joey bump into Allison. While Joey is getting drinks, he overhears a conversation between Caitlin's fiancé Keith (played by Don McKellar) and Allison, where Keith confesses that Caitlin is pushing the marriage on him. Joey is upset and confronts Keith while Caitlin is up on stage giving a speech. A fight breaks out and Caitlin and Joey later reconcile. Meanwhile, Emma lies to Manny and says she isn't going to meet Jordan. But Manny, fearing something is up goes to J.T. and Toby for help. They hack into Emma's e-mail account and see some suspicious e-mails from Jordan. Emma, waiting for Jordan at the hotel, bumps into Jordan's teacher who convinces her to go upstairs with her. After a few minutes in the hotel room, Emma realizes there is no Jordan after all...

Ashley is running for school president, and Toby convinces his best friend, J.T., to run against her. Emma and Manny are having problems of their own. There's also a new student in Mr. Simpson's class: Sean Cameron, who has fallen behind a year. Emma is intrigued, despite Sean's "bad boy" image. Meanwhile, J.T. and Toby decide to skip the dance to surf pornography on the Internet.

It's Parents' Day at Degrassi Community School and Toby's parents do not get along. They can't even be in the same room together without fighting. Since Toby's mother is a casting agent, Ashley and Paige fight for her attention. She writes an article for the Grapevine and Sean's brother is not impressed.

But Ashley knows just what to do: she'll have sex with Jimmy. Meanwhile, Toby has a crush on Emma and tries to take an interest in endangered animals. They make plans to watch the video, but Emma doesn't go. She runs into Sean, instead.

Jimmy is trying to make the basketball team, but with spending all that time practicing, he is behind in school. He can only do one or the other. He convinces Spinner to give him one of his Ritalin pills to boost his energy, but it has bad consequences for both Jimmy and Spinner. Meanwhile, Liberty is sick of writing Ashley's speeches for her, so she wants to take over the morning announcements for one day. Ashley knows Liberty won't be able to do it, but sets her up anyway.

Terri overhears Emma telling Manny, and the rumour gets spread around the school. Soon, everyone thinks Liberty and Mr. Armstrong are a couple. After Spinner finds a bug in his cafeteria food, he tries to tell people to boycott the cafeteria but no one believes him.

Emma is confused about Sean asking her out. He didn't respond to her question so she tries to kill him at dodge ball...not literally. So Sean thinks shes mad at him-but shes not. So there "date" is still on. Emma and Seans date turns into a disaster because she left her wallet in her purse and thinks she threw it away and Sean goes looking in the trash for it.

Wannabe

Manny has an interest in joining the Spirit Squad (Degrassi's cheer-leading squad), lead by Paige and Hazel. Emma thinks cheer-leading is sexist and old fashioned. When Manny starts hanging out with Paige and Hazel, Emma becomes angry and decides to write an opinion piece in the Grapevine. Paige and Hazel (with the help of Manny) rip out the article from the Grapevine and Paige blames Hazel for the incident. J.T. and Toby eat as many Pringles as they can in order to get the Ace of Spades at the bottom of the can so they can win 1 million dollars. Liberty and Spinner want in on the money, too.

Cabaret

Terri and Ashley decide to do a duet in the Lunchtime Cabaret, but Terri is too afraid to tell Ashley her song is too slow-paced. Paige wants in on the action and Terri and Paige try to convince Ashley. Since Terri did her presentation on "mystic oracles", she manipulates tarot cards to convince Ashley that Paige should be in the act. Emma and Manny want Sean to be in their act, a poetic dance about endangered animals, but he refuses. Toby volunteers, knowing it will bring him closer to Emma.

Under Pressure

Final exams are just about over, and Sean asks Emma for her help with studying. Sean's brother Tracker mentions that Sean has been in trouble in the past and Emma is a good influence on him. Sean reveals that back when he lived with his parents, he was in a fight with another kid and he deafened him in one ear. After his Media Immersion exam, Sean is upset because he thinks he failed. When Jimmy pushes his buttons, Sean challenges him to a fight. During the fight Emma gets in the way, and Sean pushes her. Meanwhile, Spinner is freaking out over his English exam, so he tries to make himself sick.
