Russell Neal told police about her condition and he was eventually arrested for the murder of his wife. However, defense attorneys claimed he was mentally ill and he was deemed legally incompetent to stand trial. He is housed in a mental institution in Texas.

Los Angeles native Lloyd Fernandez Avery II portrayed a killer in John Singleton's Oscar-nominated 1991 film 'Boyz n the Hood' as one of the Bloods gang members who murdered a high school football star and later was killed in retaliation. But when the lines between fantasy and reality begin to blur, the troubled actor reprises his most famous role, and the consequences are deadly. In the end, in 2001, Lloyd Avery II was arrested and charged with a double homicide for shooting two random people, for which he was sentenced to life in prison. While in Pelican Bay State Prison, on September 4, 2005, at the age of 36, Avery was murdered by his prison cellmate Kevin Roby.
