Episode 1
The legend of Slumach's Lost Gold Mine has a prospector, mountaineer and a truth-seeker searching for clues in Pitt Lake, British Columbia. Early 1900's newspaper reports claim that on the gallows, Taylor's ancestor Slumach placed a curse on his mine and all who seek his fortune in gold. A deep history of missing and dead prospectors support this claim, but where does legend end and truth begin? Taylor unearths new testimony from a witness to Slumach's execution while a deathbed letter written by the one man who claims to have found the gold sends Adam and Kru to a glacier in search of the fabled motherlode.
Episode 2
The newly discovered testimony of an elderly Indigenous woman claims to know where Slumach found his gold. After returning from their glacier expedition empty-handed, a disturbing vision has Kru rattled and rethinking his approach. Adam leads the team north into the wild terrain of the Upper Pitt while Taylor lines up clues to locations pointing to an ancient trade route and the discovery of an artifact possibly left by Slumach himself.
Episode 3
When legendary prospector Volcanic Brown went missing in the fall of 1931, rumours of his mysterious disappearance tied him to Slumach's gold...and his curse. Reports of a jar of gold found in a tent near the Stave Glacier point Adam and Kru to Brown's last known location and possibly the motherlode. Meanwhile, Don and Taylor investigate a strange marking on the prospector tools found in the Upper Pitt with hopes of identifying its missing owner and the truth behind the curse.
Episode 4
In August of 1968, 71-year-old lost gold prospector Bernard Rover crawled on hands and knees through 10 miles of Pitt Lake wilderness in a 12-day fight for his life. His rescuers say when they found him he was in shock, disoriented, dazed...and suspiciously secretive about where he had been and what he had found. Taylor digs through Katzie First Nation history and finds a compelling connection to Slumach that sends the team north on Rover's trail. Meanwhile, Kru unearths 100-year-old court documents and transcripts from Slumach's trial that paint a different picture of who Slumach was and a new account of the day he killed Louis Bee.
Episode 5
Kru chases down a taped conversation with a man who claims to have found and walked away from Slumach's billion-dollar gold deposit. With this new information in hand, Taylor deciphers an old map possibly leading to his mysterious and treacherous location. Meanwhile, Adam's old rival appears to be a step ahead in his search for Slumach's gold, but the two find themselves on the same path and must work together to reach their goal.
Episode 6
A box of belongings passed to Taylor by the daughter of a deceased Lost Gold prospector sends the team 300km away from Pitt Lake into the heart of mystery and murder. Adam and Don search for 'Slumach's Mine' 1000 feet up a sheer mountain cliff while shocking revelations on what a man will do in the pursuit of gold, shakes Kru to his core. Meanwhile back in Pitt Lake, an unlikely prospector with a sensational claim inches closer to Slumach's motherlode.
Episode 7
The search for the truth behind the Legend of Slumach has the team chasing leads in a Lost Gold murder mystery. While many have died in pursuit of his legendary riches, was one prospector 300 km away from Pitt Lake murdered for what he knew or for what he found? Or was he another victim of Slumach's legendary curse? A surprising theory sends Adam deep into the murky waters of Bute Inlet seeking answers while back in the Pitt, a plucky prospector overcomes obstacles in his pursuit of Slumach's gold.
Episode 8
More evidence that 1940s prospector Dick Carter was hot on Slumach's trail emerges through a hidden map left for his grandchildren. Markings on the map lead the team back to Pitt Lake for one last attempt to find Slumach's gold before mother nature slams her door and the season is over. While Adam and Taylor connect the map markings to evidence of prospector activity, Kru reads the land and learns from Don what it takes to lead the team, and to a shocking discovery where X marks the spot in the season finale of Deadman's Curse: Legend of the Lost Gold.
