Episode 1
Steve Backshall introduces the inspiring monster from the Deadly 60 selection, Louisiana's bayou-dwelling alligator turtle, with some documentary footage, and the inspired artists, an ice sculptor and a graffiti painter, who explain how its anatomy and predatory life inspire their portrayal as painted sand sculpture. The turtle is surprisingly large and strong, but usually eats just fish.
