Episode 1
Ready!
In the premiere episode of Season 2 of De Viaje Con Los Derbez, the family is ready to take off to the great outdoors and head out in their spacious RV to begin their trip around the Northwest of America. First stop is Hennessy Yurt at the top of a mountain in Lowman, Idaho. The family loves the fresh air and breathtaking views but is not as thrilled about the fly infested outhouse. Eugenio also realizes, surviving in the wilderness may come down to him doing and being blamed for everything. However, after settling in, Aislinn surprises the family by bringing a Shaman to guide the family in an exercise where they can release any fears or feelings they no longer want to hold on to. Eugenio realizes the family not only needed the physical space to let go, he’s thankful to Aislinn for giving them the emotional space to let go too.
Episode 2
Derbez Camp
After their first night away in the Yurt, the Derbez family is ready for a good shower and a clean bathroom, but that won’t be happening anytime soon. It's off to Perrine bridge in Twin Falls, Idaho, where the family will Kayak…and jump off a really, really high bridge. Alesandra is not on board with this idea and Eugenio had already promised her he wouldn’t jump, but that doesn’t mean Eugenio is not still thinking about it. Eugenio and the kids head to the bridge and contemplate whether this is the right move – will they or won’t they, will Ale divorce Eugenio for jumping or won’t she? Later, they meet up with Ale and Aitana to Kayak in Snake river and then soon after, head out to their campgrounds where they will sleep for the night. Once there and after some chores forced upon Jose Eduardo, they set up their tents, start a campfire and get ready for a good night's sleep under the stars – only problem is the wolves they can hear looming outside their tents.
Episode 3
Llama, llama, llama!
After a night under the stars and potential wolves, spiders and other wild animals close by, the family wakes up…somewhat rested. Ale is having the most difficulty sleeping due to Fiona’s snoring but is still proud of herself for getting through the night. As the family sits around their campfire, they reminisce about the old days and Aislinn reveals that due to their dad’s celebrity, certain things were difficult for her to manage and caused trauma for her. Eugenio is sorry for her pain, but explains he did the best he could to keep the kids protected. Soon they head off for their next stop, a beautiful cabin in Teton Springs where the whole family can sink into a real bed, take a hot shower, go to the bathroom in peace and then celebrate Aitana’s birthday. It’s a fun day planned. First, a trip to a Llama farm, where the bad jokes from Eugenio don’t stop and then back to the cabin for a more intimate party. As Ale watches her daughter enjoy the company of her siblings, she emotionally tells Eugenio that she’s trying very hard to let go of her protective nature and allow him to be the father that he wants to be. He’s incredibly appreciative and they end the day with the family laughing the night away.
Episode 4
Forward 1!
The next leg of the trip begins as the family heads out to Big Sky, Montana! A place filled with adventure and activities galore. As the family figures out what to do, Jose Eduardo takes it upon himself to teach Aitana a thing or two about his kind of fun…namely, poker. When Ale realizes what is going on, initially she’s alarmed, but on second thought, at least Jose Eduardo is trying to connect with his sister. Tired of everyone thinking she’s ‘just a mama’ these days, Ale tells the family she is taking over and has planned all the activities for the next few days. First whitewater rafting and second Ziplining. Whitewater rafting is a hit and even more so for Aislinn who gets asked out the cute guide. She decides to go on a date, but Jose Eduardo thinks she needs a chaperone and crashes, embarrassing her to no end. Aislinn is mortified but at least she got back on the horse and enjoyed flirting a little. Later, when the family is together again, Aislinn leads everyone in a spiritual exercise where they send each other love through a series of movements. Ale becomes emotional as she sends her love to Eugenio. It’s a beautiful moment and Eugenio feels connected to Alesandra and their love for each other.
Episode 5
I Love Montana!
In true Eugenio fashion, he plans a quick day excursion to Yellowstone National Park – an iconic and beautiful location that takes days to see it in its entirety. Never one to call defeat, Eugenio decides his family will speed through it to see as many sites as possible in record-breaking time. After their whirlwind tour of Yellowstone, the family heads to Chico Hot Springs in Montana. José Eduardo surprises Eugenio with an early birthday present: some father son bonding time. Eugenio is disappointed to learn that José Eduardo organized a fly-fishing excursion. But he soon gets over it when they both have a hard laugh at the colorful instructor that would rather teach them about different kinds of fish than how to actually catch them. Once they’re finally able to fish, Eugenio takes advantage of this alone time with his son to discuss the past and some issues that have been weighing heavily on him. José Eduardo tells his father it’s time to let go of the pain of the past and focus on the time they have together now. Later at the house, the family engages in a competition that leaves the “young people” winded. Ale reminds Eugenio that these trips are truly bonding the family and she reiterates the importance of letting go of the past and focusing on the beautiful bond this crazy family is forming over these trips.
Episode 6
Here We Go Again!
The family dresses up in their Cowboy best to celebrate Ale & Eugenio’s birthdays! Ais and José Eduardo planned a fantastic party with food, cake, horchata, and a live band that gets them all line dancing… well, all of them but José Eduardo. Ais reveals that her time on the trip is coming to an end as she misses her daughter a lot and feels it’s time to go back to her. But before she leaves, the family heads over to Glacier National Park, where they get the surprise of their lives.
Episode 7
3 Months Later
The family shares exclusive scenes! For the first time since the trip, the entire family is reunited in Los Angeles. Over a picnic, they discuss the trip and reveal moments and activities that were not seen before on the season.
