Suspicion in Silver City

Cassy Farrington, a wife, mother and nurse, age 23, was found murdered by strangulation in her bathtub in Silver City, New Mexico in March 2014. The assailant was her husband, Bradley Scott Farrington, who was a former Silver City police officer. The couple had been going through a contentious divorce in which custody of their children was a subject of conflict. In 2018, Bradley Farrington was convicted of the murder and sentenced to life imprisonment. He appealed, claiming all of the evidence leading up to his conviction was hearsay. In October 2020, the New Mexico Supreme Court affirmed his murder conviction.
