Episode 1
While attending the University of British Columbia, Jonah gets into some monkey business with a female researcher who hires him as her lab assistant. When Jonah suspects his girlfriend Emma of being jealous, he realizes that it holds the key to the experiment's success.
Episode 2
Jonah's pastime of the week has switched to basketball, and he is shocked when he sees a former team star now bound to a wheelchair following a spinal cord injury. Jonah enlists the help of "Man in Motion" Rick Hansen to help David confront his situation and rise above it.

JL (Susan Walden) lays in a coma, after being exposed to toxic chemicals.
Episode 4
Jonah's pastime of the week has switched to journalism and he gets a job as a reporter for the campus newspaper. Under the mistaken impression that an oil company is responsible for the mysterious deaths of gray whales, he writes an irresponsible and biased article that puts Grant's efforts to save the whales in jeopardy.
Episode 5
Grant (Donnelly Rhodes) and JL (Susan Walden) are forced to take time from their busy schedules to spend a romantic weekend away.
Episode 6
Grant (Donnelly Rhodes) and George (Hagen Beggs) go to the ice fields to look for ice worms. When they are caught in a storm, George is injured badly.

Grant's niece Jess (Sarah Sawatsky) comes stays with the family.
Episode 8
Grant tries to evacuate a rare fish species before their natural habitat is bulldozed.
Episode 9
Grant investigates why fish has been contaminated with mercury.
Episode 10
Hunters are killing off wolves, because they believe the wolves are responsible for death of deer.

Grant takes home pig named Phyllis.

Jess (Sara Sawatsky) helps Dr. Reinhardt (Cec Linder) in his research.

Jess (Sara Sawatsky) falls into the water while camping with Grant.

Hijackers takes JL (Susan Walden), her plane and Nicole (Ocean Hellman) by gunpoint.
Episode 15
JL's father (Thomas Peacocke) comes for an unexpected visit.
Episode 16
Jonah's pastime of the week has switched to photography and while hiking in the forest he and Nicole discover a centuries-old native whaling shrine. Jonah takes an extensive set of pictures and shows them to an ecstatic Jerry Richmond, the museum curator. When Jerry and the artifacts disappear and a ransom note for both is delivered, Grant sets out to unravel the mystery.

Jess (Sara Sawatsky) becomes worried about a mother and her baby over the citizen band radio.
Episode 18
Camp counsellor Brad Armstrong helps a blind girl deal with the fact that her seeing eye dog is having sight issues of his own. Her disbelief puts her and her dog in danger in Danger Bay.
Episode 19
A journalist Allison Walker (Susan Hogan) with integrity returns to Vancouver. Her first editorial raises awareness on an environmental cause, Grant cared about.
Episode 20
Grant's friend Tim Buckman (Paul Maxwell) uses Grant's influence to secure marshland for a duck hunting venture.
Episode 21
A teacher (Vicki Maxwell) smuggled a squirrel monkey into the aquarium when it bit a student.
Episode 22
The end of the series is a clip show with flashbacks to past episodes.
