Episode 1
George's (Hagan Beggs) favorite niece Melissa (Dawn Mortensen) who is a gifted child comes to visit while Melissa's parents are in Peru. Melissa is cared for by the Roberts as George has to attend a conference.
Episode 2
While on a boating excursion, Jonah (Christopher Crabb) and Nicole (Ocean Hellman) come across a gill net that damages their boat. At the dock, Grant comes face to face with Agnes Calhoun (Rosemary Dunsmore) a former colleague.
Episode 3
The Aquarium holds an Adopt-a-pet program to help raise funds. Grant's life is turned upside down by this.
Episode 4
Jonah starts dating a girl with a taste for the expensive and for the wild life. The new lifestyle is one to which Jonah is unaccustomed and Grant adamantly opposed.
Episode 5
An overprotective paralyzed mother (Mimi Kuzyk) seeks to keep her daughter Jenny (Andrea Burchill) from competing on the school's gymnastics team. Nicole befriends Jenny unaware of what's going on.

Mark Taylor (Robert Wisden) is a promising lab assistant who Grant takes under his wing. Together they try to create an on-site test for Red Tide Poisoning. But is Mark taking short cuts to further his own agenda ???

Smugglers use Harbor Air to smuggle in exotic yet endangered birds into the country. Nicole (Ocean Hellman) begins to fall for a handsome pilot, but is he what he seems ???

Grant is in over his head with renovations going on, a speech that has to be written and a new graduate student Suzette Poitier (Isabelle Mejias) to contend with.

The War Canoe with Grant (Donnelly Rhodes) and Nicole (Ocean Hellman) gets into a line squall and sinks, leaving Grant and Nicole in a life raft on the open water.
Episode 10
Jonah's pastime of the week has switched to tennis, and he takes on an attractive young lady named Chris as his personal coach. He fails to understand however that love is just part of the scoring in a tennis game.
Episode 11
Jonah's pastime of the week has switched to scuba diving, and while on a dive his friend Derek accidentally spears a wolf eel that Grant had affectionately named "Jennifer." Because Derek's father has forbidden him from diving, Jonah takes the blame for Jennifer's mishap.
Episode 12
Quinn (Ron James) an old friend of the Roberts sails into Vancouver. His tall tales spark interest, but why is he really in Vancouver?
Episode 13
Jonah's pastime of the week has switched to photography, and when J.L. is accused of pilot error when her helicopter crashes and a valuable cargo is lost, he sets out to prove that the mishap was due to sabotage.

In an attempt to designate a forested area as a wildlife preserve, Grant (Donnelly Rhodes) encounters the owner of a survivalist training center that threatens to destroy nesting grounds.

a Czechoslovakian student Jan (Charley Higgins) lies to Nicole (Ocean Hellman) in an attempt to defect.
Episode 16
Nicole (Ocean Hellman) takes a course on climbing and slips during a training exercise. Unhurt, Nicole is shaken up by the incident and her self-confidence is shaken. Will she go through with a climb ?
Episode 17
While collecting water samples, Grant (Donnelly Rhodes) and Jonah (Christopher Crabb) come across an injured harbor seal. Back at the aquarium, Grant discovers the seal has an implant. Will the seal survive?
Episode 18
Melissa (Dawn Mortensen) returns. Nicole (Ocean Hellman) writes a paper on dinosaurs to enter a contest to go on a dinosaur excavation dig, but she's up against tough competition. Is second best good enough?
Episode 19
A wounded bald eagle is brought into the aquarium with shotgun pellets in its wing. On their way back to the Aquarium, Grant (Donnelly Rhodes), Jonah (Christopher Crabb) and J.L. (Susan Walden) discover another bald eagle.
Episode 20
On a flight to rescue a dead killer whale carcass, Grant "Donnelly Rhodes" and J.L. "Susan Walden" come to the aid of one of J.L. frequent passengers who tells them of a tale that he's seen a unicorn.
Episode 21
While Nicole was out in the woods taking nature photos, she meets Pete Bartlett (Gordon Pinsent) who was really a poacher.
Episode 22
Grant is named Environmentalist of the Year by a company with a poor environmental record. The prize is accompanied by a sizable cash award. Grant is urged by his colleague Arty not to accept the award, however a company representative warns Grant that refusing it would deter them from embarking on cleanup initiatives.
