Detroit SWAT goes after a barricaded gunman who appears to be a schizophrenic who has gone off his medication. Jason "Diesel" Brasgalia is taking a course at community college, Schoolcraft College. He is working on a paper while giving time to his two daughters. Sergeant Ramon Valdez briefs the team to prepare to serve warrant on a house at which undercover purchased cocaine. The neighbors have been complaining much drug traffic. It is a single dwelling home in a nice area but the occupants could be armed. In the final assault of the episode, the team serves warrant on suspects that have used stolen construction equipment to break open ATMs. An "Old School" gets his finger broken in breaching the door. Suspect wasn't at the location but is reported to have been seen at the second location they had identified so they move the team there. Jonathan "Ricochet" Bibbs gets his arm tattooed to show his membership on the SWAT team.

Detroit SWAT have a mobile mission of a truck that has been carjacked and the woman driver is being held hostage. The suspect is a convicted felon with 3 carjackings in the last 36 hours. The suspect asks to speak to a news reporter. He also asks that they contact his baby's mama he won't be home to say goodbye. The SWAT sniper believes suspect wants the police to kill him, i.e., "suicide by cop." After an hour chase and with six of 18 tires flat, the carjacker doesn't stop so the sniper for the team takes up a position on an overpass with the plan to shoot out the engine block with a .50 caliber rifle with a 2000 yard range. But spectators out of their vehicles along the the truck's course is jeopardizing that as an option. Officer Johnny Baker runs the Dallas Police shooting competition. The top 1% of 3000 Dallas Officers are invited to compete. Johnny has won the competition 3 times. But a mental slip threatens his hopes for a fourth win and he has to borrow a gun. SgtA search warrant is served on a suspected crack house. As usual, there is concern about the residents having guns and attack dogs. They plan an usual pull using their Viper APC to effect a breach of the front door and three windows. Officer Johnny Baker buys and presents his eldest son Cade his big wish; a paintball gun.
